1952-59 Ford Noobee here

    I've had a '52 Merc Convertible for a few months now. Looking at the various sights I see little discussion on the later flatheads.. Mostly is 30's stuff which is cool if that's what you have.. Or the chopping and slamming group..

    Pretty much going to keep her stock with maybe some upgrades like heads and intake, and just cruise it.

    I bought the car as an unfinished project but really most of the big stuff is done.. I need paint top and chrome, which is enough but doable for an old geezer like myself. (just turned 68)
    Anyway that's the short story on me and my project.

    Would like to talk with any and all like minded souls

    The engine is done,, Probably about 3K miles on it, Bored .040 over. Has an OD transmission but I need to wire it.

    Welcome from So Cal. Love the Mercs, especially the drop tops. Post some pics.
    My 56 Fairlane had an overdrive which was activated with a pull handle, don't know if Mercs were the same.
