Hello, I am new to the board, and am still collecting parts for our 1932 Chevy Sports Coupe that we restored back in the late 70s and has been in the family since new. I nave recently aquired a later model Corvair front suspension to rebuild for it and have several ideas that I am working from.... Just looking for input and ideas.... Have a grest day!
Your 1932 Chevrolet has been in your family since new? And your gonna Hot Rod it? Welcome to the HAMB your one of us! Lol
Gre Great Uncle Will bought it new in Dubuque Iowa and was a painter.... every time it got a scratch he would touch it up with house paint....car had nearly no rust and only one bad wooden section in the body... it has been in various storage since 1986.... It hasnt been out of Iowa since new if I am correct.... I do not like the idea of leaving it sit, but I do not trust the idea of putting it on the road with mechanical brakes and handling in this day and age.... there is room for improvement in all aspects of the car and my son will be carrying on the family mechanic tradition! He knows the newer tech but still wants me to teach him about carbs, and old school ignition!
I am not far from you as I live off of Highway 30 in northeastern Iowa, less than a quarter mile from the Mississippi! We'll have to get in touch!
