I live in southern Oregon. I have a 1950 Dodge 1/2 ton P/U that is in original condition...she needs a lot of help, as she is over 60 years old (like me) and nothing has been restored. Paint is by rattle can, upholstery is by rip-n-shred. I have never restored a classic, although I have owned a lot of old cars...mostly by financial need, not choice. I don't know much about 6 volt systems, the truck ran when I bought her, drove her home and parked. I have never been able to start her since. I still have the original flat-head 6 in her. I can't decide whether to restore her as original, or make her into a street rod. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
My Hubby is working on a 1949 GMC 3/4 Ton P/U...Making a street rod.
