I lived in Lodi and Manteca, was there almost every weekend, glad to hear it's back! Also "Return to Kingdon" drags I'll have to go next visit!
In 78 or 79 we ran are late model camero at stockton 99 open show. the best part was a match race between ERNIE IRVAN and the late TIM WILLIAMSON both cars were BALDWIN ENGINEERING BUILT AND DENNIS FISHER ENGINES when it was over bumpers and fenders were missing. I am glad to see the track is still ALIVE.
That's good news for a change. Maybe this bad economy will keep the developer/nimby vultures that are circling the short tracks at bay for a while.
In the early '60's I was hauling produce back to Washington State and I can't remember which way it was but on Friday, or was it Saturday nights we would stop and watch the racing at Stockton or Sacramento. Great stuff!
