not sure if this has been posted in this thread or not:

The "Cruisin' On Main" event in Manchester, CT is set for August 7th this year with a rain date of August 14th 2011. It's one of the biggest showswith over 2,000 cars on display and over 30,000 spectators. there is a 25 year cap on cars but last year the "vintage" took over the place. everything from customs to rods, roadsters, coupes, gassers, restored, muscle cars, vintage tow trucks, drag racers, model A's, Model T's, etc. This show tends to attract cars from several states away. It is open to spectators from 11am until 4pm. Cars start setting up early in the morning.

It's a GREAT show celebrating the memories of the generation in Manchester who used to spend thursday nights cruising main street with their girls and friends at their sides. We have taken vehicles of every kind for several years and never had a bad experience or a bad time. With the amount of spectators; everyone has been very respectful. Plus there's lots of shopping/antiques and food to be eaten at this great event!

Hope to see everyone there this year; we're bringing an entire herd of vehicles with us from model A's to the 40's and 50's and one muscle car and one restored Jeep. can't wait!

Here is the link to their website:

    Also:

This one should be pretty AWSOME. Main street in middletown is such a great place.

The 2011 Middletown Main Street show will be June 15th 2011. Rain Date is June 22nd. Registration starts at 4pm on Main street entering from Union St/Pleasant Street and forming 2 lines. The entire maint street will be closed from Washington Street (Route 66) south to Union Street for this event. Cars will be parked 2 rows going down main street and also along both sides of the street bordering the shops and resturaunts. show is open to anything pre 1986 so bring the HOT RODS!!!! I believe its 10.00 per car benefiting local mechanic trade schools and charities.

The show runs from 4pm until 8pm and you can chose from 35 excellent resturaunts along main street and enjoy the cars and beautiful main street!!

    We'll be there.:D

If you're looking for a fun, smaller and monthly cruise:

Colchester, CT does a Car show on the green in the center of town every third Wednesday every month. If its nice out it's usually a pretty good sized show. You can cruise to the car show and then drive up the road and eat at Harry's drive in! best burgers in the country hands down. The show starts at 5pm and goes until sunset. there is no admission and no fees.
