Values and morals are only worth anything if they come from parents to love them more than life itself, and are p***ionate about important things in their lives....my 2 children Duncan 5, and MacKenzie 4 on Vtines Day, have been raised with tools and cars, so I know my legacy will live on. Other parents take note....the hot rods of yesteryear will only live on if you inspire your own children, or someone, to love and learn and respect them.

Great response. As always, John is a cl*** act. I never understand, with all the different styles of magazines out there for any give genre, why people purchase a magazine and then tell the owner/editor about all the things they are doing wrong.

Beautiful art! The response is very appropriate. Hot rodding can also be respectful and cl***y. This would be the exact description of most, if not all, of the H.A.M.B. folks I have met both online and in person.

A good magazine should not be based on the shock value of the content. My opinion only.

With that, I wish John and his family luck and success with the magaine.

I love that cover, it reminds me of the old saturday evening posts(i think thats the name, where the little boy is getting ready for his shot?)
i love it when a guy doing a quality product tells someone thier product might not be what they are looking for. It shows me they are not only trying to sell something$$$$$$$, but trying to do thier best work.

  16. The first issue I received awhile back was great and it's been getting even better with each issue! Way to go John and way to go giving a starving artist a break and giving him a little exposure by giving him the cover ***ignment

Thanks for bumpin'; I needed the reminder to get a subscription going.
His response is dead on balls accurate (its an industry term!)
It creeps me out to see folks trying to emulate a lifestyle which quite simply, never existed. Trashy women, sleeve tat's, all some perverted modern pop culture fantasy.
I think the hobby and industry suffer for it. That's just my opinion of course; and at least until a few weeks after january 20th, I can still speak it.

Couldn't agree more. It's not about a scene or the ladies, it's about cars. Last thing I want is someone standing in front of a beautiful auto obstructing it's view. Also a magazine should be written with intelligence and foresight with a mixture of entertainment. If you want to pay money to see ladies then they have a place for that (strip-joints) and if you want profanity you can pay to come over to my garage any saturday afternoon.

You should be able to set a magazine on your coffee table and not have to worry about your 9-year old read of look at it.

    Keep up the good work.

Speed Crazy is part of that "other" brand. :D But no... I'm trying something new, but it will be "familiar" to everyone. In other words, it will still look like something I did with a twist. :D

Nice response john, very cool, I knew there was a reason I liked you. It takes a backbone to stand up for yourself like that. I have a little girl too and I know what ya mean. Oh, and nice job on the cover Jeff It looks like modern day Norman Rockwell.
