You know that aluminum spoils as it gets old. Send them to me if they are past their sell by date.

I would be thinking a twin engine digger to display them.

Wow, imagine a time when this stuff was the not that uncommon in certain racing circles. I remember the time in the 70s when a guy brought an all aluminum BB to the local dirt track. Many raised eyebrows. :D
Sweet stash ya got there 54pop!

For those wanting pictures of more cool stuff, just scored this beauty about an hour ago for $80. Never seen a Cragar degree wheel in person. I think it will look great hanging next to my Gotha degree wheel.

Lets see...a mouse with steel crank, cam, valve train, chain, pump. Maybe 2:1 reduction in weight?

Can you imagine Mickey Thompson walk in too GM HQ and to the big boss and say something like; do you know what would make one firm more famous, and make a mortal man become a legend?

And the answer would be; no, tell me?

Reply: You give me a couple All-Alu 327 blocks, some funding and just step back at watch the show! :D

He is an Legend/Icon, even the smallest car fan know about Mickey Thompson.
All the Big car guy knows at least one great M/T story. Even Smokey had some.

And what you have there is one major and unique slice of the M/T-legend!!!
    So freaking awesome!!

He did indeed have magnesium blocks. Saw one in person but didn't have the $ to buy it at the time.

Lots of pics of rare unobtanium coming up. There is way more than is pictured here but you get an idea of what I'm collecting. Most people say I'm a hoarder of vintage speed parts ... but I like to think I'm preserving history one piece at a time.

BB Chevy MOON Fuel Injection using Bosch timed injection. Metering done by Ryan Falconer and timing cover custom cast by Donovan. The Bosch pump is mounted to the timing cover and sits in the middle of the manifold.

SB Chevy aluminum hemi heads. Unknown manufacturer but I know they're not Leo Lyons and don't believe they were made by Mickey Thompson. IMG_2883.JPG IMG_2884.JPG IMG_2885.JPG IMG_2886.JPG

Very early Hilborn 2 port such as those seen in the first photos of Potvin blown motors. Just says "Hilborn Injection Pat Pend". No city listed, and no number stamped into it either. Notice it also has very small butterflies for a small cubic inch motor. Very different from the 2 port Hilborn sells today. Could possibly be one of the first 2 port injectors they were testing.

Early Chrysler Hemi Edmunds valve covers with original MOON breathers that are stamped with the MOON logo and have eyeballs for O's.

Believe these are for early Cadillac. Note the clearancing for adjustable rockers. They are a unique 1-off cover custom made for "Koch the Motorcycle King". The research I've done suggests that The Motorcycle King had a Harley Davidson dealership in Denver Colorado during the mid-50s.

Stacks of original Mickey Thompson degree rings for Schiefer magnetos and velocity stacks to fit standard Holley and early Carter AFB/WCFB. Most still in original packaging.

NOS Oberhausen supercharger circa 1950s with matching early staggered bolt sandcast SB Chevy valve covers, instruction manual, and original hand drawn pencil blue prints. The Oberhausen supercharger is a centrifugal vane-type supercharger that is driven at high rpm on-demand by an electric starter motor. I have all of the original gears, bushings, shafts, etc to make this a functioning unit. Bolts to any standard 4 barrel intake.

Yeah, I just might be. There's a lot more but my wife said she wanted to get lunch so I'm stuck in the car on the way to get sushi. Not a bad stash for only being 34, right?

  26. Better then a 401 k. That CanAm block by itself is a peach. ZL1 test mule was CanAm forging, or vice versa. A Chaparral team Can Am block, last year sold for twelve grand....494 cubic inch or 509....no clue what the bore was.....had the liners....and main caps. It was sweet. Other stuff you have is quite a hoot as well. I'd say a fat wallet, even if the leather is empty. Great stash ! Thanks a bunch !
