    Hello all:

Well the fine Folks of the Gasser Gang of Western NY are looking to have a Nostalgia Drag segment to run along with them but in there own class. There would be possibly ten races between NYIRP and Lancaster for 2010.
This could be a great opportunity for you to have some fun with your car and participate with like minded racers. Speaking personally, I know that this would be great for a couple of friends around here whose cars are not conducive to regular Saturday style Bracket Racing.
It so far is mostly thought of as a center steer class (FED, Altered, Funny Car) but thinking that a Roadster fits in there also.
We need to get a dozen or more cars to make this takeoff.
As things go, surely the first year will be full of growing pains. But we feel that there is great growth potential and that a good car count can be achieved We have heard many positive comments from people when asked about this.
So please PM me with any questions. There has been a communication line set up so that we can keep in contact and share info.

Thank you and here’s to a great 2010 race season:D

  2. It sounds like fun.
We can bracket race with no electronics.
At NYIRP dragsters can only run in super-pro and all electronics are allowed.
A guy like me who has a FED with a Crowerglide clutch is bottom bulb racing.
Count me in and lets see how many more guys are interested in nostalgia drag racing.
    Thanks: Matt Shaff

I think this is great, however; since this is not my deal I can only throw some thing out there.

I have a nostalgic drag car which does not fit into any of your catagories, ie; an altered, similar in 'looks' to the "Orange Crate", however not center steer... I certainly understand you have to enforce rules to keep things traditional, no electronics, true to the sport of nostalgia drag racing, but can the rules also allow a vehicle to be raced which is true to the spirit of vintage racing?

Just a thought, let me know if I am way off base, as I have been told before I do not belong... Thanks....

P.S.: My old computer crashed so I just added a pic of my drag car sitting in my shop for winter, all my other pic's are on my old computer....
