It'll probably get buried over on the main page, but I figured you guys would want to know.

I finally have the 2008 nostalgia drag racing schedule reasonably complete on my web page. All that world travel I've done this year took its toll on getting it put together this year, but I got close enough to done this weekend to put out a notice. Yes, the H.A.M.B. Drags are listed (or should it be "is listed"?).

Just go to my web page and click the obvious link.

Also, since the Manhattan, KS, track doesn't seem to have a web presence, does anyone know if they plan a nostalgia race this year and if they do, when it would be? PM me or email me at jmarlett@cox.net if you know the answer. For that matter, let me know about any nostalgia drag race I've missed, including those outside the United States.

Jim thanks for the list. I have one question because I went to the first Famosa March meet where Garlits came west for the first time to take on the rest of the A fuel rails. Unless I'm losing my mind I would swear on my mothers grave that it was March 1959. March 2008 would be the 49 th annivesary of the March meet. I was planning on going next year for the 50th come hell or high water. I guess I'll go see my doctor instead.:mad:Roy

I think you're right. I might have been fooled by the banner that says "Celebrating 50 years of racing." I had last year's identified as the 48th March Meet, so it would follow that this year's was the 49th.

No need to see your doctor in early March. I changed it.

Wait a minute! NHRA is calling it the 50th! I need to count on my fingers and toes for a minute.

OK. 1st-'59, 2nd-60, 3rd-'61, 4th-'62, 5th-'63, 6th-'64, 7th-'65, 8th-'66, 9th-'67, 10th.-'68. Add forty more years to that and, by golly, 50th-'08! I guess someone didn't count right in the previous years. I'm going to change it back and maybe you should go ahead and see that doctor. I'll be right there with you.

I guess I was counting like birthdays. When you're born your 0 and so I was born in 1939 which will make me 70 in 2009. You are right because 1959 was the first. Oh well I wasn't there for the 50th so I'll just have to be satisfied that I'm still racing at my age.:pRoy
