If the guy gets through with my trans tomorrow, I should know pretty soon whether I've cured the clutch release problem.
If it's fixed, then I should have the roadster there for some runs. I'll be there though, with or without it.

Anyone is more than welcome to come down Sunday the 30th to my shop if they are in the market for any of my tons of old magazines, posters, parts, a Dodge based altered with a built short block 340 and a 360 fresh from the machine shop, 4:88 gears, two step msd ignition, reversed valve bodied auto trans, snap on clocks, signs, an '85 GMC Van and basically 2400 square foot of for sale stuff. My shop is about 35 miles southeast of the racetrack and about 12 miles southeast of the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry.

While at the groc. store today I picked up my steak for that night and another 16.6# bag of charcoal.
Now I gotta change clothes and get over to shop and install trans again.

Still hoping to get my roadster ready, got the trans back in yesterday evening will finish up and try clutch release today. Hopefully I fixed it!
Sock*****ers coming down Sat. for a work session squaring up axles to frame centerline (adjustable wishbones both ends) and align front wheels.
Next week it'll be driving time if all is well. Then I'll drain break in oil and pour in high zinc synthetic from Amsoil, and adjust valves.

swapped out the tires - check
    installed seat belts - check
    fan belt - check
    tightened header bolts - check
    check fluids - check

Now I need to tune the carb and try her out......

Damn, looks as if it'll be another spectator year for me. All back together and the clutch still won't release properly. Unless something jumps out and hits us between the eyes when the Sock*****ers crew gets here Sat. all I can do is tear it all down again. This time all the way down to removal of pressure plate and disc for a bench check. And that is a real PITA with the McCleod safety bell housing attached! With me less than 2 months from age 75, I don't think all that and a reassembly is gonna happen in time for 29th.

Redsled, that forecast does look good, although I don't know what that moon phase means! But if it means the Sock Fucckers have a moon to howl at while we're there camped Sat. night, you can bet we will!
Thanks to the efforts of the Sock*****ers today, my roadster made it's maiden voyage(s) today, and we had a blast! But, we are again dead in the water!
A bad leak in the gas tank whem we filled it up late this afternoon, and lower side of rear wishbones are warped all to hell, even with a maladjusted throttle linkage that only allowed about half throttle and bias ply rear tires with only a 5" wide tread! Hate to think what would have happened wioth full throttle and some tires that got a bite!
No way I can fix all this***** in time for next weekend, so I'll be there as a specatator again, dammit!
