Event Coverage Nostalgic Gasser Finals

Quain Stott, Greg Porter, and many others will be battling it out once again in the final g***er war of the year at Greer Dragway in Greer, SC. Saturday November 17th is the date. Greer Dragway will open the gates at 10 a.m. and it will be $10 to watch or run your hot rod down the strip. They will offer a test and tune as well as the g***ers, so the normal track saftey gear will apply, if you plan on running your car. Please come out and watch these men wrestle their wild rides down the strip! Here is a link for the event facebook page as well

I can't wait it will be the last time I get to run my Willys. Greg Porter and I have out ran each other 2 times each this race will brake the tie so he better have that Night Stalker ready. I want bragging rights this winter.

 

Ya'll better be watching out for Jeremy with his BOSS motor!!

 

No doubt about it that ford of Jeremy's is improving on every run for it to be a new car it's already a threat. Porter and I keep talking about how we are going to out run each other but there might be a new kid in town. Be there for the show down it could be anybody's race.

Sounds great Josh! It'll be cool to see the SFCC there. We are gonna try to be there early and park a bunch of hot rods together on the hill. It will be a good time with some wicked cars for sure. If you have seat belts, helmet, etc. you can even run your hot rod down the strip!

Quain, you should have come over to Jr Wards track last weekend in VA, we had the AA cars there, what a throwback place that is.

Thats the way it should be 4spd's and injected small blocks.Im just a fat guy from bountiful UTAH and even i know that.Cool video.I am dying to make it to this event one day.

Look's like we are up to about 14 G***er's for the 17th it's going to start around 10:30 for a shake down then Chicago style match race. Trying to have it finished before dark.

 

The Geargoyles clubhouse is located in downtown Greer about 2 miles from the track. Everyone is welcome to come hang out after the race. We will grab some pizzas, sit around and BS.

The shop is located at 120 W. Poinsett St. Greer SC.

 

I've spoken with several HAMBers that are planning on coming out. We're gonna try to park all the hot rods together on top of the hill (on the right as you enter the track). This is gonna be a blast!!

 

Less than a week away!!!
