    No, it's not a Devin.

I don't think we ever found out what it really was...

Here are some pics of Devins.

The Red one in the first pic is ak Miller's Devin Olds.

The Blue one in the second pic is the Devin that **** Morgensen built and raced.

Maybe it's a no-name one-off that someone built in their garage.

Just going through some old mags, and similar looking cars are Burnett MkI Chevy, Echidna, Sulprizio/Hagemann GMC, and El Toro MkIII. But I don't know, they all have slight differences, although the Sulprizio/Hagemann GMC looks close.

I did not do any research, but I am pretty sure that Ed Almquist built some fibergl*** sports car bodies. Almquist Automotive was the name of his business, and there is a fairly recent biography available. Good luck.

  22. I'd still say it's a Devin...Devin made bodies to fit just about any frame of the era so maybe it's for an oddball frame. Here's one on a TR2 paltform, the nose looks the same to me...

I have an old magazine around here that has the guy who built the jabro body .It's about him making the first body and a birdcage frame from antenna tubing!Usual story make 1 body then friends want one then it takes off!

I'm 99% certain it's not a Devin. I've got one and know a bit about them. Devin did make a lot of bodies but they were based on the same basic shape. The body above differs from a Devin in the shape of the headlight openings, the grill opening, the ****pit opening and the back end. Devin did make a series of bodies for rear engined cars, called the C (for Corvair) and the D (for Porsche and VW) with different rear ends than the front engined bodies but it didn't look like the one shown here. To me, the front end looks somewhat like a Byers CR-90 but the ****pit opening and back end looks different. The molds for the Byers were later sold to Victress. But, the photos I've seen of the Byers show the center of the cowl being higher that the fenderline. In the photo it looks lower but it might just be sagging.
Have you tried sending these pics to Tam's Old Race Car site?
