Well, more of a shed I guess. My dads been looking for a 33/34 ford coupe for a few years & yesterday was his day! He's known about this car since the mid '80's, it was in a smalll town about 70 miles from us. He kept in contact with the owner & every couple years would give him a call to see if he was ready to sell. This week it finally paid off! The car is in really good shape. The rockers & floor are pretty much gone & the firewall needs some attention. But its complete. The guys sons tore the car apart some time ago & some how managed to keep all the parts in the shed with the car! Thought you may enjoy, I will post some more pics later....

I would rather bump into a '34 coupe in a shed than a rattlesnake in a barn any day..

    Congrats!

Good for you guys, reminds us to keep in contact with owners just in case they change their mind about selling. Best wishes on your build.

Fogger, you are right buddy. It really sucks when you dont stay in touch with someone that will not sell, and you pass by one day and see it being hauled away. You NEVER know!

  11. Wow! A real, live model 40 three window survivor! I can't believe these 30s fords are being "discovered" almost every week. Great score. What are your dad's build plans?

  14. Congrats!

This is exactly why I can't drive by any old shed, barn or garage and not wonder what is inside of it.. :)

Congrats I love those old coupes. I would put a flatty in her and 17" wires with no finders and drive the hell out of her.

I think it is a sign of the times that these are starting to be found and bought. The population that has been hoarding them is aging and either they finally decide they will never do anything with it, or their family sells it after they pass on.

Really nice score and a coupe to boot. :) Your Dad hanging in there really paid off.

Congrats. It's a shame your Dad had to wait nearly 30 years for it. Looks solid, at least the former owner thought enough of it to keep it in the dry. Good luck with the build!
