First time on its wheels in over a year. Ive gotten a few questions on how the brakes will be done and thats all coming together right now. The next post will have better details on the subject. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Oh man!, Now final assembly. Take your time, the result is in the detail & this build has the Hallmarks of an outstanding Car.
Zot, thanks man! Im with ya on the details but at the same time its been 3 years since the first wrench was turned on it so its time to get it done.
Tomanyfords ya shoulda told me you were going to be there, I would have introduced myself. Fitzee that's the problem. We always have one in the oven and one on the back burner

I had no idea your car was there. We got there late and got parked by the dumpster. Lots of nice rides there. I took several photos of yours. Going to try to make some of your car mine. Just need to get out to the garage and start!
Very cool nice build can't Waite till I get my back fixed on the 20th December so I can get back in the shop and finish mine.I'm just so close I can smell it
You're really building a first class gasser! Very nice, and inspiring to anyone contemplating a build!
Happy new year!! I got around to building the clutch pedal assembly. The original plan was to use the stock clutch pedal but 2 problems came with that. The quadrant mounting point was on the inside of the pedal and I needed it on the outside for cable clearence on the firewall and there wasnt enough room for the clutch quadrant to swing and pull the cable. I should note im using a latemodel mustang adjustable clutch cable and quadrant. So to make life easy i got a mustang pedal assembly and just reversed engineered it. I did have to drop the clutch pedal down a little to clear the brake pedal bump stop but theres still plenty of geometrey left for pushing. The only reason I didnt weld the pedal to the rod was for easy instalation purposes.
Engine and trans almost ready. The trans is a before and after pic. Used a product called alumabrite. For what condition the trans was in and how it turned out I give it thumbs up.
Yeah it is a WC, ...I know it's my weak link but my thinking is a trans is a bolt on and there's room for which ever way we go. I've blown a tail shaft apart on a t-5 and know its capabilities. There is a company Astro Performance that has parts to build up the t-5 but if funds were a little more I would love to have a liberty 5 speed. So well see. It's kinda at the bottom of the list.
Ok I HATE thumbnails and have been having some trouble with the hosting site I use. So I'm done with them and moved on to a new site. Hopefully here's some decent photo updates. Sorry if there's repeats. Dude, I've been quietly followin' this thread but I gotta' say yer' ride is SHIT-HOT! What kinda' quadrant is that on the clutch pedal? BTW- ya' might wanna' try http://tinypic.com/ fer' photo-hostin'; works okay for me.
The quadrant is an aftermarket one for fox mustangs. I like to use a lot of that particular car for parts because there a dime a dozen and have a huge support in aftermarket and parts stores. And thanx to all who are enjoying the build as much as I am. More to come....
