Wow great work!

 

Trying to finish off the front end over the weekend. I'll need to get a new spring made up as you can see from the pics.

 

I also finished off the ladder bars. Next, fabricating the gearbox adapter and fabricating mounts that incorporate the gearbox and ladder bars. I need to have the bellhousing and the adapter milled to take the input locator which I'll hopefully get done this week.

 

Mocking it up keeps the motivation high

Hi Ross,
What'd you use to cut holes for your exhaust to exit through your crossmember? It's nice and clean. Vic

 

This build sets the bar really high as far as fabrication skills go, too cool for words. Just wondering though, I couldn't help but notice you got rid of those nifty spring hangers you made up for the radius rods earlier in the thread. Is there a reason for switching to the original style pivots?

Hey guys. It's been a LONG TIME.

Well I'm back on it and there's been some progress and some changes along the way. I've been inspired by the reoccurrence of track styling and given the body is small - a Willy's, (well the cowl anyway) I felt it'll lent itself to a T track race style.

The changes made since my last post:

- Removed the A rear crossmember and welded in a T
- Track nose (in progress)
- Ch***is almost finished

Yes definitely. This is just for mockup but I need to source another. I would love nothing more than to lay it on the salt. I was over from Australian in 2014 for Speedweek but rained out as you know.
