not another update!!

    thanks guys, the rails are ASC, really nice... the price just went up on em from 625 to 675 but imo beats ****in with a set of old bent twisted rails, got some more parts today at pomona, got a brand new 10 gallon moon tank for 100 bucks, and some other little ****, of course moon wasnt there so i couldnt get my slicks!!

    Right on Wes. You are realy kickin some **** on that thing. I only hope that it inspires RED MEAT to get his Tall T done...He has had it for about two years now and has'nt done too much to it latley (hint,hint). Maybe you should drive it up here in a month just to rub it in... [​IMG]

    I never keep the wood period unless its in good shape.
    You don't need it and the car isn't a restoration. Metal is better as far as I'm concerned.

    On the repro parts, in many cases it doesn't matter where you buy since often there is only one manufacturer. Many repro parts are pretty bad, and some are virtually unusable. For Model A stuff, try Brattons--he makes the effort to find the beat choices, often calls out the problems when there is no choice right in the catalog, and actually improves a few of the parts he sells in house.
    When repro stuff ****s, often the best option is to figure out how to repair the original you were about to toss.

    bruce, i agree with ya, cant beat the orignal stuff, just that the drivers door was completely missing the latch(if anyones got an extra one around ill take it!) got all the floors done, got the seats mounted where i want, now i gotta send em off to get covered, and got the gas tank mounted,, pulling the motor and trans tommorow night and blwing it apart and sending it off to the machine shop. its gettig closer and closer, gonna chop it pretty soon too...
    K- im driving that ***** up there in the next couple of months!

    Looks like it will make a great Rod. mikes-afordable.com has a lot of good "A" parts. Snyders’s Antique Auto Parts puts out a big catalogue. Do you have any extra parts?
