OK, Let's get this out of the way. The purpose of this thread is not to fish for some E-bay advice. Fact is, I've never sold anything on E-Bay before and I don't hav any plans to start.

I would certainly like to get some guidance on a ball park asking price for a Thickstun intake/air cleaner/head cover set that I've collected over the years.

I've been kicking around selling the set to fund the purchase something more unique or "vintage" or a Q/C center section.

    Here is what I have:

-Original and super nice, but fully polished (not sure if this is a good or bad thing) PM-7

-Maybe original, but not 100% sure on that fact fully polished air cleaner. The inner support piece (part that sits on the carbs.) has a TIG'd repair b/c it broke loose. Can't see it when the top is one and the repair is top notch.

-Repo heads covers. They are NOT from C.W. Moss. Came from a guy in CA named Dave Wilton (I think that is his last name). Designed to fit over stock cast iron heads.
These are polished but not to the extent that the intake and air cleaner are.

If I do decide to sell them, I would like them to go fairly quickly and not take too much time making the deal. I was thinking in the $1,200-$1,500 range for the set.

I'm fully aware that the economy is not doing too well and some of the money that was out there before just isn't there any more.

Of course I would offer them here and Fordbarn before going else where if I do decide to sell them. Been saving them for my father's '32 sedan, but I can't even get my project done to worry about saving parts for his car. Maybe this isn't very logically either for, sometime down the road (I pray later than sooner), his '32 will become my '32.

I don't have pictures at this time but could get some if you think it would help.

    Curious on your thoughts.

    Thanks.

Tim. I think you're in the ballpark with your pricing.

For what it's worth, didn't we both get our head covers from the same person? Mine were made by Rick Williams in Orange California. He was only casting a few pairs and he didn't have a Thickstun head to fit them to so he made them to fit stock Ford heads. I've given his contact info to several others but I don't think he's making them any longer. I can vouch for the quality of head covers. They're much nicer than the ones that periodically pop up on Ebay.
