Ron, I am saddened to learn of your dad succumbing to cancer. My condolences to you and your family. Bob
I was hesitant to "like" this post, but you and your dad shared a passion and that is worth a lot. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. May God bless you and your family.
Ron, thank you for sharing your and your dad's story. Sorry for your loss. It's been 25 years since I lost my dad. I believe I think about him every day, even now.
Cancer sucks. I'm sorry to hear this buddy. Hang in there and remember you've got a ton of friends here to lean on.
Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing... But he will never really be gone... You will see him in the things he taught you to do.... The tools he had.... The car memories... He will still be there .... You just won't see him....
Our hot rod crowd I run with lost a friend due to corona. I really can’t believe the last time I saw him would be the last time I saw him. It’s going to be bitter sweet next year cruising (Hopefully)next summer without his presence.
I used to say: "I really need to book one last fishing trip for my dad and his old buddies." "I really need to get dad a gift certificate to ride in a car around Dover Downs." "I really need to take him down to the dragstrip one weekend." And then, he was stage 4. And he couldn't go out on the boat, he couldn't ride in that car, he couldn't sit in those stands even if he wanted to. And then there was nothing I could do about it. And time marches on.
