    Hey guys.
So close on starting the engine in the coe,im waiting for some parts and waiting to lose the fear of starting wiring..
I recently talked to the old guy that sold me the cab and front fenders (the base of this project).
I asked him abou this van and hes willing to let it go cheap..
I need another project like i need another wife but i feel bad for it sitting there having punks mess with it..
I think i just want the aproval of my enabling friends.
He also has this rv that would be a good frame for any coe project.

I'd love to have a Dodge PU like that on sitting behind the MH. My dad had one when I was a kid.....base model, slant 6 and not even a radio!
That MH must be fairly old, has some weird 6 lug wheels...

  3. I would imagine rust is not the problem it is here, so I would start looking at the delivery van from a completeness standpoint, is the hood laying around there? The windshield doesn't look like it was flat, what is it going to cost to get new? Was there a fire in it? How badly beat up is the top? Looks like the doors are functional so that is a plus. Then you have the camper, can't tell if it was single or dual rear wheels, it will have a straight frame rail and a solid front axle, hard to get low with that set-up. Looks like it has the standard pick-up cable shifter from the late 60s. (not like the push ****on shifters from the early 60s) I bought one from that era, had a dually Dana 70 with 4.56 gears. Does the axle width match between the two vehicles?
That dodge pick-up off to the side might share some parts with the camper, might both have Dana 60s, check ratios. It might also have a solid front axle.
I'm not looking for more projects, I have enough to last my lifetime, but if I was young and foolish, (I was 30 years ago) I'd jump on all of it.

  4. BTW, There might be a 413 or 440 in that camper. I've seen one in one of those little Plymouth/Dodges like the one in your last picture, I've always wanted to do that to one of the Dodge Rampages. (pick-up version) Would be a hoot if you got it stuffed in there.

I can ask about the truck...theres another one that is almost perfect sheet metal wise..if ur interested
I have no interest on the MH..just thought it would be a good base for a coe..
If I dig into another coe, which i will soon,i will use a 3/4 ton frame again.

I have no interest in the camper.
But all good info...you've mentioned dodge big blocks before that im getting interest in them.
The van has flat gl*** all around and the hood is pretty straight forward to make.
All the doors are there and even the engine covers.
The only rust is on the bottom of the outter shell which is very fixable...
He only wants a few benjamins for it..so even as a storage unit would be cool..
Replace the broken gl*** and paint some cool vintage logo, paint the wheels and it wouldn't look too bad in the yard..
He told me the yblock ran when he left it there.

I like vans...scratch that..i love step vans but only the ones with rounded corners.
    Thanks tho

Where would you get the windshield 's for the Ford Vanette? I'm going to start wiring on Sled Zeppelin, Get all your components in place such as tail lights ,gauges etc and follow along. If your interested I'll post pics. Decide where your going to put the fuse box. I'm going with under the hood where I don't have to lay on the floor to do anything.
