    It's for a fuel streamliner. Don can make these things and he thinks it's necessary. Hot rods aren't all about bling you know. A lot of that cool stuff got put on there for a reason.

    Don't think I've ever seen an Ardun with dual plugs per cyl.

    You should see the magic the Fergusons make. My jaw is to the floor every time I go there,,, and no pics as I respect thier little secret projects.

    I think I saw a story in Auto Aficionado about the Fergusons and there foundry, they have been collecting patents, molds, rare racing parts for years. In their inventory are complete racing engines and parts of every era GMC cross flow heads, v860 jiggler rocker set ups and on and on, lots of red hats in that family. oops, did I spill the beans?

    Well this one is not much of a secret if Mike Cook is posting pictures on Facebook. Many years ago Don Sr., the current Don's grandfather, invited me to come to their shop and use their dyno to tune my GMC. They had an astounding amount of stuff then. More now I m sure. Tony,Do you want the 18s?

    Doesn't have to be necessary. He did it because he could. Doesn't mean we can't appreciate it.

    Choppedtudor: I think Dean is right.Maybe Don wondered if twin plugs would be better. And he has the wherewithal to find out. Don't forget, this is a real race motor. Not a poser at the car show. I wondered if twin plugs would be good in my 32 Plymouth. So I tried it. How else would I know. Take a HAMB pole?

    It's that kind of ingenuity that has moved this hobby (obsession) to it's current level. It would not be anywhere near where it is now without this kind of out-of-the-box thinking. Gotta love it.

    I know this is from another kind of Racing, and it's rew****d, but here goes;
    It's with in the line of the game, and there by allowed.

    If this was the 40s or 50s, and smokey wanted to try it, he would have done it!
    If Don Garlits meant there was an angle for him to win, he would have do it, and a long time ago!!!

    The please respect this man craftmanship.
    And I most say, this makes my pants look like an Tipi!

    Polls are good for choosing colors as well.

    I don't think the twin plugs made any difference in my Plymouth. Looks like the fun is over for this post. I thought that was Don's new engine.

    Ok, so it's not really an Ardun...it is still pretty cool...(question about do you need dual plugs in an Ardun...yes, if you have the skill to machine them and there is room?? which is probably not there...but I could have used two plugs per hole because every time I drained my oil, unburned nitro trickled out the drain hole...I tried to get Joe Hunt to hop up my mag but they said it was at the limit.....)

    To those that have never seen--- that 1/2" tube running down the middle of the head with the small lines comming off that--- direct port nozzles for more fuel besides the ones on top of the manifold near the head.
