Hey all, Allison here. I’m not “new” but I’ve been away from the HAMB for awhile. Most of you know who I am, I’m the hair guy with some unique artistic skills. A lot of you might also know I’ve gone through some tuff times over the last few years and disappeared into some family issues and legal battles. My best friends, Thee Inland Emperors put together some M.I.A. Allison stickers awhile ago and as luck would have it, I was rescued.
If you don't know me here is some info. I'm Jeff Allison. I design Rods and Customs, posters and T-shirts, and doodle a lot. I live in the Inland Northwest and formed the Inland Emperors with my best friend John G. nine years ago. I pin stripe cars at shows, like a side show. I've owned hundres of various cars and finished none of them. I'm a weirdo and goof ball, and I can be a dick. But no more than the next guy. My web site is gone (casualty of divorce) but I have tons of images on MySpace... just look up Mr.Allison. Pictures are worth a thousand words so no more about "who" I am.
I hadn’t been on the HAMB for almost a year and half until the other day, and I was happy to see that HAMBers were following some of the things I had been doing. The Home Town Hot Rods cover art and Billetproof stuff in particular, I’m glad everyone is digging it. I’ve been doing lots of other neato stuff as well I’ll tell ya’ about.
To start with, tons of T-shirt designs, and ton’s of smaller “local” posters. Here is one that will surprise you though, check out the EAgames God Father part II. I designed almost all of the cars in it. They look like real cars but aren’t… No royalties to pay that way. Wish I could have convinced them to let me put a rod in there somewhere but gangsters don’t drive Hot Rods. I also did a lot of design work on a bitchin’ Chrysler wagon that made the great eight in Detroit and have some other high roller stuff in the works. And the last two issues of Rod n Custom have articles on The Astra Coupe… I miss having it in my driveway, but I’m glad to see it finished.
The other issues I mentioned forced the sale of most of my stuff. The ’56 Safari is gone, the world famous AbstractA is gone, and lots of sweet jems and jewels are gone. But I look at this way, the crazy wife is gone also. Nuff said. I recently started gathering up parts for something new I want to build. I have this bitchin’ ’31 roadster cowl I’m going to start with, it’s from an A fire truck so it has a cool block-off for the windshield. The plan (maybe I’ll post a pic in the Friday art show) is to build an A woody roadster. But not how you might picture. Remember the weirdo surfer model kit “woody on surfari”? It should look something more like that.
It will be cheap though ‘cause I’m broke.
This summer I look forward to going to the shows and seeing everyone again, to reconnecting with the world. And lastly, because I have been talking with Ryan recently I want to touch on a topic I know from looking at old posts has come up. The bad sellers list. I was on it but am not anymore. When my problems began over two years ago I had a few deals go bad, and they were honest mistakes. A few months went by and when I returned to the HAMB I found there was problem. I posted a thread and anyone with a problem (three guys) came forward and I corrected those problems.
I’m told that there might still be some issue that was not resolved though. I don’t know of any but am more than happy to take care of anyone that I owe something to if they are out there.
If there is anyone, please PM me and let me resolve any issue. And if there was an issue like the three I resolved over a year ago, PM Ryan and let him know it was taken care of.
Emperors, thanks for all of the support you have given me over the last few years, particularly John, Russ and Billy. Chris… I’m sorry I was a dick, your not grungy, your bitchin’. Kirk! I miss Sponch with you. And I miss all you Nor-Cal mutha-skratchers. And Breeder….. Thanks for the props on that cover art, and I’m here for you anytime you need something. But enough about all that., I’m here to reintroduce myself and just did. White Wall slicks and racing mags forever.

Thanks fellas, glad to be a productive human again... This is the Surf Woody idea. Cheap, fun and dependable is the goal. I'm not so sure about the Black with red mill because I am sooo tired of seeing black with a red mill. But I really want the Red line tires so that combo is pretty much it. It'll be paint, not primer and the red will be closer to a tomato soup rather than cherry. Very few details or bling, but one crazy ass rake for fun.

I see a Spockabilly® tee. Spock playing a spacey-looking upright base with laser strings. Maybe even a laser wallet chain.

It was good to see you at the breakfast on Saturday. I'm stoked to hear that life is getting better, Lord knows we have both been through some #%@& in the last few years.

Chip...Your the best. We talk about hooking up once a year and never do. Do some art man, your great. I'll never ever forget the day you smoked me in art class with that Warren Johnson drawing. I was in awe. I don't even remember what kind of slop I cobbed together that day as afeeble attempt to show you up.... those were the days man. Drawing pictures of Pro Street Metropolitans and Gull wing door Mercs. Call me, you got my number now and I'm always around.

You don't know me but we met @ the Asphalt Invitational a few years ago… Anyway You're A hot rod & custom car artist/pinstriper so we have something in common… & I think if us artistic type's don't hang together! We'll all for sure, hang separately! LOL

Sounds like you've been through a rough patch… sounds like you're handling it!

i'm no fan of this dirtball. Any man with a half shaven dog that gives his friends away to girls with large funbags can't be trusted.
