    Here's one for ya...

I used to go clubbing in bad neighborhoods back when I was in college. We went to this place in SE Washington DC one night and parked the car on the street outside the club. I had an overnight bag with me because I was staying with friends. My car at the time was a 1981 toyota celica hatchback and since there is no place to put something out of sight because of the hatchback, I thought the best thing I could do was lay everything in the bag out flat so any potential thieves would see there was nothing of value in the car.

Once I had everything laid out (victorias secret bra & matching panties, shorts, shirt, and misc. make-up, I locked up the car and left. When I came back out, my side window was bashed out. Funny thing is that the thieves took only my bra, my panties, and a tube of red lipstick. I'm convinced that a transvestite hooker did it.

In any event, sorry to hear about the crappy break-in. People suck.

I saw a video clip of Saudi Arabian justice. Thief gets one hand and one foot cut off!!! Not CHOPPED off, but sliced off carefully with a big knife, and no anaesthetic, then they put a plastic bag over his two stumps and MARCH that fucker away to JAIL. Way to go, the rag heads got something right! [IMG]

It's probably best that you didn't catch them,A friend of mine did killed one crippled the other,(they were both armed, knife and club) he's now supporting the crippled one because he didn't warn them he had a black belt. Where is the justice in this country? Still the best though.

I work at a old style service station, 2 gas pumps, 3 bays etc..
anyway, i used to drive my 33 pick up just about everyday to work. I parked it right outside of the third bay, pretty much in sight.

I used to keep my cel phone, portable cd player, and a bunch of cd's (my good one's) under the passenger floor mat (a piece of carpet)..
One day I drove the truck to lunch, so when i got back i made sure everything was outta site..or so i thought.

Sometime between 1:00 and 4:30 when i leave, someone grabbed ALL my shit right out from under my nose!
    I was soooo pissed!!
I was more upset that they took it with me probably 25 feet from it, in broad daylight!
    That took BALLS!
Had i seen the F@*K lift my stuff, i know i woulda lost it..I now feel lucky i didn't..i probably would have ended up in jail for a few days, and had a lot more expense paying for lawyers fee's than replacing my stuff.

It's not the best neighborhood anymore..so i'm a little more aware now..and now i don't like even bringing it there..not being able to drive your rod because of 'people' isn't cool at all.
It all sucks man, it's never a good feeling to get ripped off, or have your stuff messed up by a thief.

He'll get his, one way or another it'll happen..

Your handling it wayyyyy better than i would for sure!!!!

    Rat....

I heard today that they caught someone trying to write a check that was stolen out of one of the other cars, even tried to use the ladies ID to prove that it was her.
My first thought was that it was some kids, being that it was someone with very little knowledge on how windows work.
I have befriended some of the local kids and they all know not to mess with my shit, they even told me they would keep a look out for the bastards, they said I might wake up one morning and find the thiefs hog tied in my yard [IMG]

The face comes off the radio. It was in my neighbors yard.

Thanks for the offer for the glass but my garage is kinda full right now. I might try and move some shit around and just put my car in there for a while.

I kinda like the method that uses piano wire and an old hand powered drill...put the wire around the knuckles, insert both ends into the drill and turn slowly...if they try to close their eyes, pin their eyelids open with safety pins...

but, ya go to JAIL for things I would like to do to criminals...(sigh) at what point did the "singularity" take place, the point at which THEY were granted more rights than their victims?

ahh man that sucks..thos eguys are stupid.its not that hard to take a radio out...when i was about 17,someone stole just the faceplat off the alpine stereo i got for my 16th birthday..i was so pissed,i loved that stereo so much.then a couple years later, someone stole my deck minus the face plate.i had about 200 cd's under my seat that were untouched.i still have the face plate somewhere.i should check on ebay and see if they got any of those old alpines.

a couple years after i got my faceplate stolen and had just gotten a new one.someone broke into my car when i took a trip down to auburn indiana.some friends and i went into ft wayne to see a show, and someone stole all my cd's and my skateboard..they did however leave the records i bought..that was such a horrible ride back home.2 hours back to michigan with only the cd left in my stereo, and it was a short one.i hated that cd until a few months ago

Ya, it sucks that that happened.

In this day and age, you really have to be careful. The damned lawyers are so worried about the thieves' rights, you will get screwed. My roomate for a while was a big old tough 6'2" bull-riding hillbilly dude, and one night he came out of 6th street here in Austin (by himself) to find two guys trying to break into his truck. One was in the bed trying to get into the slider window and one was trying a slim-jim on the driver's side. He didn't say a word, he eased up on em and just levelled the guy trying the door and jumped on top of him to teach him some manners.

Well, the other guy jumped down to help his buddy and grabbed a 2x4 on the way out of my friend's bed. He clubbed my buddy several times on his back and head. My buddy got up and ran around the back of his truck to get away from the guy and reached into the bed for something to defend himself with. He picked up one of those green/gray metal fence posts deals and as the dude came around the back after him, my buddy popped him in the side of the head with it, kocking him down.

My friend jumped in his truck, drove a few blocks up the street, stopped, called the cops and then took himself to the hospital (he had a concussion and got a few stitches.) Turns out he ended up fracturing the guy's skull and putting this man's eye out. The cops came and interviewed him and let him go. The guy got home and was really shaken up and felt terrible for hurting the guy that badly, etc.

Here's where the story gets bad... Two days later, some cops knock on the door. They are arresting him for a HATE CRIME. During the course of the altercation, this guy apparently used a racially derogatory term... He got 6 months in jail!!!

He appealed it, but his case had really bad timing as they were trying to get hate crime laws tightened up here, so the courts kept putting off his appeal hearing. He finally got his appeal and they overturned the ruling, wiped his record clean, apologized, etc., but that was after he had served like 170 days of his 180 day sentence!!

He said the guys showed up in court wearing hockey jersies and bandanas and were shooting him the bird and stuff in the courtroom and he still got convicted. Talk about bad timing/politics!!

Man, sorry to hear that your car was broke into.

    Two story's.

First: A buddy of mine where I grew up (small town) has a barrel with gas in it behind his shop and someone kept stealing the gas every week and he could not catch them. So after a couple of times trying to catch them, he put 5 gallons in the tank with a couple of bags of sugar. And low and behold someone stole it again, but the next day he heard that a new "kid" that had moved into town recently, his car had broke down and he was having engine troubles. So my buddy offered to help him out on fixing it, he told him that he was OK.

Second: I had a mountain bike from the early 80's that weighed tons and it was mainly a bar cruiser. Well the tires were flat/rims out of wack and bent/ sprockets did not match up to the chain and no brakes. Well I had it Ulocked to a tree and went to work one morning and the lock was busted and the bike was gone, it kinda ticked me off for a minute. And then I chuckeled at how pissed off the thief was after he finally broke the "Gorilla" U-lock to find a junk bike.
