My buddy Kenny is heading to the Salt. He's going after the flathead record in his class. 2 years ago he missed it by a few MPH.. This year he's determined, new car, fresh motor.
The record is 154 on gas... 160 with Nitrous. If you see Macuch Racing stop and say HI. He's doing it with himself and his two sons Matt and Dan, and a lot of support in the back ground.

Looks great. Interesting headers. What is the theory behind making them loop around like that ?

I knew they had to be done that way for some good reason, not just cosmetic. :) That makes sense.

Good luck Kenny. I know he has put a lot of thought into the motor and the car is outstanding.

Fencepost You should have left work and listened to that thing come to life today. WOW!!!! is all I can say. I took a video with my phone if I figure out how to post it I will. I was told it is not possible to make 300hp out of a flathead with out a blower I call BS to that wives tale. No N.O.S will be needed to make that happen . what a Monster.

Wow, impressive. Cool flathead for sure.
I'd like to know how they get enough airflow thru an unblown flathead to be able to use that much carburation!

Looks like a great job, tell your friends carbon monoxide builds up in your system to the point where it does not take much of it to make you sick. They need to either get an evacuation system or run it out in the open, not in the shop.

There is plenty of ventilation in his shop. He's been at it a long time. Thanks for your concern.
