More progress..... Painted the 39 Lincoln backing plates, and machined the spindles to accept them. Mmmm...nice fit. Installed all new self energizing internals with 2" shoes.....stops ona dime, and picks it up too. Only the best.... Bearings and races installed, and on the car they go.... mmmhhhhmmm....... next, gonna cut off all the crazy brackets from the 61 wildcat rear axle...this thing is BURLY!
I stopped by tonight and took a look...WOW! Very impressive...lots of neat stuff goin' on in your shop, Scott Craig
Got the motor set in and mounts welded in....... sorry about the ****py phone pics, forgot the real camera at home.
I've been pluggin away at this thing trying to get it done (or close) for the Hot Rod Revolution in September. Wheels and tires mounted, rear suspension finished, front suspension finished, brakes finished and body cut up and mocked onto the frame. Rear tires are too close for comfort, so some new spacers will be in order. The motor will be heavily recessed (as you can see) and the top part of the firewall cowl will be removable. The body will sit about an inch higher as well.
Scotty, very nice my brotha! your a smooth operator, this sedan is coming out great and yes it's got a mean looking stance to it Hopefully, i can make it up there on Friday, we'll see. James, Congrat's my friend, looking sweet, it's gonna be an awesome ride! peace† stevie
Started building the 16 gallon aluminum tank..... Started with some 16ga 5052 Sheet... Annealed where it would be bent... Bent the main tank body all in one part (it was a bear getting it off the brake haha) Sheared off the end caps.... bent the endcaps to shape.... more tomorrow!
I haven't checked in on this one for a while. It's coming along nicely. I love the stance, real aggresive looking.
I'll finish the tank next week...... Built up the headlight shock mounts, and mounted the guides....gonna do a little more shaping on them, but you get the idea...
hey! i love this neighborhood. sure, you have to learn to road rage in another language but they dont care how you dress and dont give you bad looks for driving old cars!!! just be very weary of the tweaks you share a yard with. gas has been stolen from our work vans time and time again over there. ok, back on topic... HOLY CHIT MENG!!!
