Hi everyone... I'm Justin, newbie from NE Ohio. I've been lurking the board for a while, just didn't sack up and register. I've got a 48 Olds that needs a little love. Figured I'd sign up and get some better ideas and suggestions than "put a subframe and a 455 in it"...ugh. Anyways, hello to all. I'm up for anything, especially if there's PBR involved.
That Olds didn't happen to come from the HAMB did it? There was a sweet one out there for a while. I'm working on a 48 Chevy Sedan Delivery right now and am doing an S10 frame swap to it. Haven't figured out a drive train yet. Anyway, welcome from Michigan.
Hey all, sorry for the slow response, had a kid. Well not me, my girlfriend. anyways. Petejoe, I live about 45 minutes southwest of Canton in good ol' "Amish Country". Nice "driving" roads if you can dodge the horseshit and the tourists. Danimal, no, the Olds didn't come from the HAMB. It's actually a really solid survivor car that's been in the family since the mid 60s. Bone stock, tucked in a barn for 20 or so years. My plan is to get it on the ground, throw some wide whites on the factory steelies (or chrome reverse rims...hmm.) and drive the thing all over the face of the earth. Maybe have J-Bird from Cortland throw some striping on it like he did my daily driver pickup truck. But like I said, it needs a little love...and with the little one here, cash is probably gonna be tight. lol. At any rate, thanks for the warm welcome guys!
J-Bird....haha He's in our club. He's currently on lock-down cuz his lady is due any time. So he can't wonder too far from home
Looks like you live near Wooster or Berlin?? I thought all the girls down there were barefoot? At least the Amish ones are. Good luck on your new arrival and take care of that family of yours.
Yeah, i recall him telling me while he was striping my truck that his ol' lady was due about the same time mine was. lol...i definitely know what the lockdown feeling is like haha. aaaaand... I live ehhh, 20 minutes south of Wooster, about 15 minutes from Berlin in the lovely town of Killbuck. Plenty of shotguns and chewing tobacco here. At least they keep PBR in stock! Haven't seen many barefoot chicks lately. Guess its too cold?
Yep, more rednecks than Amish in that town.. You should be building an arc instead of a hotrod with Killbuck creek rising. My wifes father is from there. She had shoes on her feet when i met her And a hell of a set of legs attached to them I might add... Ever hear of the Schodorf family? Most of them have past quite a few years ago. Welcome to the Hamb
