have Nate and his Dad at Midwest Hybrids in Madison do a dyno tune on my 1950 Oldsmobile. After putting the car back together and installing a dual quad tunnel ram, we didn't have it quite dialed in. Had some starting issues, idle issues, run issues. At most of all, I wanted to know my fuel/air mixture was safe for blasts down the track. Nate and his Pop did a great job. Cleaned up some vacuum leaks and replumbed the lines, dialed in the carbs and now it is EXCEPTIONAL! Nate is a HAMBer and I discovered him on here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BU0V1IeQo4 check it out! I plan to give Midwest Hybrids lots of business and you should, too.
took the 56 Chevy I just got in from Oklahoma for a good tune. We had a bitch of a time with the carb flooding and actually choking the car to death. After a bunch of time and effort, Nate discovered the regulator was faulty and the mechanical pump was blowing past the needle/seat on the Holley. I bet we wasted five or six hours trying to find the problem. cost me an extra trip to town, but the results were worth the hassle. This car was raced in Oklahoma City for the past 48 years. At times it was a big block car. today it has a good running .030 over 327 ahead of a B/W super t-10. Made way more power than we expected. The cool thing was discovering the jets were wrong and that they needed to be slightly different on each side to get the proper air/fuel mix. the other neat thing is we gained a whopping 50 hp after removing the mufflers and running right out the fenderwell headers. We gained a bunch of torque, too. coming soon to a drag strip near you! check out the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97915J2HTOw&feature=channel
