Like the ***le says - I can't figure out why I'm not getting notifications to subscribed threads.

I went through this STICKY and double checked everything....

I tried the search feature - didn't find much.

My email address is correct in the system.

I don't know what else to check. Any suggestions?

    THANKS!

I've had this happen on some other forums I'm on but not on the HAMB, as I recall. Sometimes revisiting the subscribed threads seems to fix the problem.

Here's a couple of other things that you might try. Make sure that your email program hasn't "blacklisted" emails from the HAMB for some reason. Depending on how you have things set up you may have to add the HAMB to your "whitelist" to allow their emails thru.

Also check your "junk mail" and "trash" files to see if they're there for some reason.

And if you haven't done so recently it wouldn't hurt to clear your cookies and temp files. You might also need to make sure that you have cookies enabled as well.

Are you getting subscription emails from any forums other than the HAMB? Any other strange new internet behavior crop up recently?

Yeah everything seems to be okay as far as settings. I go into my profile and all of the threads I watch say "Subscribed" with whatever notification I want for them.

I never did get a notice of your post either but I tried subscribing to a thread through the iPhone app and I did get an email when that thread was updated.

Perhaps it's some browser setting? I use my work computer and they REALLY lock things up tight so maybe they've disabled something - but if that was the case I wouldn't think the threads would show up under my list of Subscribed threads either. For what it's worth I'm using Chrome. That's about all I can come up with.

Doesn't seem like browser settings have too much to do with email but I'm no expert.

Do you get your email thru a client like Outlook or Thunderbird or do you just use webmail like AOL or gmail? If you're using something like Outlook your employer may have things set up so you can only receive email from a specific "whitelist" of senders. Unless you have administrative priveleges you may not be able to do anything about it. Do you have problems getting email from other sources?

Just use gmail. It seems that I'm getting notifications when I subscribe through TJJ app so I'm going to try to see if I can unsubscribe to the threads saved in Chrome and resubscribe through the app. It's a bit of a work-around and a h***le but it's all I can come up with.

Hi again, I'm asking "How do I introduce myself?" I registered yesterday or the day before, but I can't post any intro. I can't type too good either (two finger, hunt and peck), so it takes me a long time just to write a sentence.

Here's a link to the "Intro" thread. It's at the top of the main forum page where it says "New to The HAMB?" If you can post here you should be able to post there. It's worth doing an intro. It can make things a lot easier on a new guy!

Not sure if this will help anyone at some point but I tried to Subscribe through Internet Explorer instead of Chrome and the notification emails seem to be working. So.... it seems the problem lies somewhere w/in Chrome.
