Nova Clip Question

What year front suspension clip came with the front mounted steering box? I've got a clip under my truck I thought was a '75, but I'm not sure. I've got to pick up a couple new brake calipers at lunch (one froze up on my way to work today). So I just wanted to make sure I knew what to ask for. Someone told me a little while back that the older style clip (with the rear mounted box ran until '76? Brake calipers may be the same anyway, but I don't know?

later nova had a front box. camaro is also the same from 70 up

 

I've got a 78 Nova clip under my truck and it is a forward steer clip

 

Camaro switched to front steer in 70, Nova in 73.

 

68 to 74 Nova=rear steer
75 to 79 Nova=front steer

 

Brake calipers should interchange between years. I think there are some minor differences in the rotors and spindles between '68-74 Novas, and '75-79, but I believe the calipers are the same.

This is correct. I *believe* that the calipers changed to metric in 1977 too. I am not 100% sure though. I DO know that 75-79 Novas were the only front steer ones.
