Bad Bob the mag is out, i found it thursday morning at the 7-11 by my house, congrats again dude!

 

usually i get mine [ subscriber] a few days after my buds buy it at the store..never figgered that out yet...anywho, awesome spread bro!!!!looks killer...you should be very proud....

 

If you read the article it has you down as the builder. I told him he had to make sure that got in there so I wouldn't look like I was trying to claim your fame. It also got in the Sweedish mag "gasoline",but it's only in Sweeden. I got two copies,can't read it though. My son loves that car. He's still too young to drive it though. BTW,i'm gonna save some money up before I can fix the trunk. I'll let you know,thanks Todd

It was always a dream of mine to share my passion for cars with my kids. This kinda kills two birds with one stone. The car has been in many mags. When fordole500 owned it,and now when I/my son,own it. It's really weird to see yourself in print.

Well,my sons are too young to drive their cars,and i'm spending the night,so my buddies won't drive the other cars and stay. So it looks like just the Merc. Still have to fix the fume thing. Probably just gonna run the existing pipes out the back for now,then run all new pipe when I get some more money. The floor was cut in the trunk to C the frame,and still needs to be patched. I'm not gonna do that til after I bag the back. That's where the fumes are coming in.

Well,i'm not one of those that tries to get his car in a magazine. I love talking to guys about their cars,how they did things,where the got their parts or ideas. Two things here;#1-I didn't build the car,so I wouldn't try to get coverage on a car that's not my sweat,(my money,not my sweat)#2-The car has already been in other magazines,so you would think it's already run it's course. Another thing,(sorry,that's 3)the guy who did the article,wasn't interested in the car so much as the fact that I bought it for my 14 year old son. People come to you at a show and say"can I take pictures of your car" and I think,sure go ahead. But when a guy says"I want to take pictures of the car for a magazine",I went yea,whatever. Next thing I know I get a e-mail and get asked to proof read the article. I thought WOW! But still,i'll believe it when I see it. I didn't tell anyone but my son and Dreadman,cause he was there when the pic's were taken. I'd look stupid if I started telling everyone "i'm gonna be in a magazine!",then nothing. So I didn't give it much weight. THAT'S why i'm so excited,I just thought this guy was just another guy with a camera. Don't confuse my excitment with bragging. Now if my Merc gets in a magazine ARTICLE,not a little photo,YEA,i'll be honest...i'm gonna brag!!!HA HA

I kinda feel like a celebrity whenever go anywhere in my car
i've had it since october and i cant drive the dam thing!
It's like being the kid from a Christmas Story staring in the window at the Red Rider BB gun and everyone saying you'll shoot your eye out!
o-well i'm alright with riding shotgun for now, plus im glad to know ill be driving it soon enough.
i cant wait to see peoples reactions when i drive it around, Who the F*ck is the kid... wheres BoB???

Well after a couple of mag features, you'll get bored of it...Nahhh, it only gets better. I have to say there is something to being noticed from magazines that want your vehicle in there mag, its awesome. And I was greatful to all of them, as I'm sure you are and your kids too. My boys are 5 and 3 and I already have cars on the burner for them, course Daddy is going to enjoy them for a little while! Congrats!

 

I remember when mine were 4 and 5,now we talk cars all the time! The best day will be when all three of us drive into a show. I'll tear up for sure!

 

We were planning on driving all three cars to the Primer Nats this weekend,then my friends backed out on me!

 

How about some info and pics of your other sons car?

 

I traded a pretty BADASS '68 Impala fastback for this chopped '51 Ford. It has a 350/turbo 350 combo,stockrear,rear airbags,stock front susp.,it's a cool driver but it's not as nice as my other sons car. We plan on painting it purple with white scallops/green pinstriping. It'll take a while but i'll post the progress. It needs a lot of little things.

Hey,congrats on the award. My sons shoebox won 3rd for best kustom at the back to the beach show,there in Ventura. I love that interior in your car.
