i have been using the name stuck long before i found out how stuck i am.i have a 57 fairlane suppose to be F-code 9years 70 mustang 9years 72 torino 21 years.great site happy to be here.theres 2 other torino sites i like and i guess this will be my 57 fairlane 500 site. i am from detroit and area. i always new and said being a mechanic is in my blood and where i seem to naturally accel .i am finding out even now how true that is. my dad was in a oval racing team [dicks pure gold was the shop] where benny parsons got his start in my dads 56 ford #57 and my uncle is bill toia from Gratiot auto supply. since age 12 i have been into engines my first being a 5 horse tecumseh go kart eng i got in a bucket totally apart. at 14 in 84 i sold $600 worth of minibikes & go karts and bought my first car a 69 mustang cleveland toploader and a locker . quickly got it tuned and tight .2 years later at 16 every thursday/friday i would go over the car make sure the dual points were right on. then friday /saturday i was on Gratiot getting in about 5 races a night. i knew by the sound of the other car the challenge it would and never cherry picked a race .i was very in tune with that car and honestly only remember losing once.those 5 month's was it as life turned rough.in 1989 i tried to start over with my 72 torino sport Q4speed .21 years later i find out that my life has been like being a 1000% gearhead looked as a oddball for it, in what may as well been a family of office workers that thought a paper clip was a tool. i was at dick golds shop once when i was young never knew till recently what the history was. and Gratiot auto supply i bought a pair of valve covers from in 84 and a unilite distributor in i think 91 .i visited my uncle twice had good time out on the boat once.what get's me is after all the years of shit jobs and untill last year building my cars with basicly only junkyard parts i never knew untill the past couple years and >this weekend <WOW]the opportunity and potential these places could have been for what boils in my blood. ETC.

  2. Welcome, but this is not a Torino site...you are going to offend a lot of folks to assume it is,This is a "Traditional" hot Rod site
