sorry folks, now that I understand the rules a little better, please don't bust my chops. I am new as of yesterday. My names Mark, I work for G.M., been 36 years now, Good gig that's why I'm still there if your wondering why the hell I'm still there. Been into cars for 40 years now on and off, the off years came when kids were in college. I've had a few nice rides over the years, 64 goat, 69 nova with 427 that was scarry as hell and currently a 61 catalina 421 clone. I see that by some of the posts that this is not the regular cup of tea around here but would still like to hang around. I've been to a couple of Billetproof shows and wish that I had the coconuts to build and drive one of those. My intrest in cars goes back to the good old days of ultereds and the early funny cars from the mid 60's when my Uncle would take me to Detroit dragway. I could go on, but will stop here, rambled on to long now, thanks again...........
Welcome to the HAMB. That 61 Catalina is right at home here. My dad owned a beige 61 Catalina, It was his dream car. He was a pontiac nut. They are one of my all time favorites as well. Someday I hope to get a 61 or 62 Catalina\Grand Prix. Anyways welcome aboard. Post some pics of your 61 if you have them.
I had a hard enough time trying to figure out how to get started, how do you post pictures? In the meantime,(whatever that means) they did a spread of my car in Pontiac Enthusist Sept/Oct 05, big day in hooterville. thanks for the welcome.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the early 60s pontiacs. The first new car my parents ever had was a 63 catalina, I spent alot of time riding down the highway in that car when I was a kid.
