I Love It ! Late 60s and 70s Street Freaks are Great. Thats the only form of the old car hobby that hasn't become the latest midlife crisis.
That is some wild paint. I dunno how I feel about that particular job, but I do like crazy 70s paint jobs too.
saw it a 5-6 years ago in branson at the show me f 100's show. looked nice even up close! soon as i saw it i said "acid trip!" bet there is about a month's work just on the paint. jim
Good call todd. It took alot of acid to dream it, and its gonna take alot of huffin stripper to fix it! Evel, you may be right but man i hope not!
Haha! Good one! You are thinking of the of the famous Ishihara Colorblind tests. Here: http://www.toledo-bend.com/colorblind/Ishihara.html The original owner is probably colorblind and the paint job hides a message that says something like "Keep On Trucking" or "Gas, Gr***, or ***! Nobody Rides Free!" That's so crazy it just might work!
after looking at that thing for more than 2 minuets i would need some advil or something..wow i would hate to be drunk lookin at that....raaaallllffffffffffffffffff
Too many of you guys are too damn young to appreciate the 'chemically induced' creations of another time and place. You watch, as all this 'retro' stuff keeps making the rounds, your gonna see more of this. BigKen
Not to be compaired to Himsl. It has no start-finish...just even pattern that shows no design ....like the era...this is Not a good example of it.
For the "Most Freak Drops" award, this wins it hands down. I think it needs some definition though. Go back in with darker candies and and re'mask the ribbons and edge 'em. No striping though. Yeah, borrow Himsl's blue streaks and throw 'em on some wide chromed wires. Lower it a little more, re-think the tailgate, black vinyl diamond tuck, etc. etc......
I heard Mike Myers is writing Austin Powers 3. Maybe that can be the new mojo mobile? The T is a different story! Got any more pics like that Goober?
Not my cup of tea but a lot of work involved.A little too incoherent. Here's a lousy pic(only one I have)of a bike and a Corvette done in the early 70's by Kelsey Martin.I layed out the mural on the side and striped both vehicles.
Dont like this one either, but I would leave it alone for someone that does. I saw a '55 Chevy at a show some time ago. Homebuilt car, the owner was very proud of it. Tweed, Billet & Pastel...( not my thing and as a style, already yesterdays news...) Owner was so proud of it he had a whole bunch of Pics of the Build. And the first pic showed the car without a front bumper, nose high, skinny Cragars. That style must have been unpopular too at some point, and the owner erased that because it didn't mean anything to him...
