This is so KOOOOLLLLLL!!!!1! Nice to meet all of you once again and the T looks great congrats on the winning of the rod. Also Hotrodlady cruiser we need some name tags for the HAMB drags as none of us male hambers want to introduce ourselves we just stand there and talk to each other like we have known one another for years. Maybe I will see if I can come up with somethin for the Drags.......... Once again Congrats and the T looks great................... Shoe
To quote PeteJoe "Un****inbeliveable" That is exactly what I though when BobK informed us at dinner Sat evening that the guy with Blue T that we all met at the meet and greet had won the giveaway car. Yes the frientd of the guy (PeteJoe) that one the Giveaway car LAST YEAR!!! It was a pleasure to meet Matt and check out the Little T, HE was a very nice dude and I'm real happy for him. Dumbfounded yes, But happy none the less. And the Y block powered T was way cool. Congrats again to Matt. Hopefully he will join are wacky little group in the future.
Here are a few of Matt's T that I took at the Meet and Greet. Matt is the guy that has his foot on the rear tire. and he let us sit all over his T while he took the photo! He told me that after he moves into his new house he'll get a computer and join in on the HAMB fun. Your not going to believe this but I had a huge bunch of "Hello, my name is..." name tags and sharpies and I forgot to get them out BOTH DAYS! I just getting tooooooo old........
You got to be kidding me!! I met this guy on thursday and didn't even know he was a HAMBER!! It's a kool "T" and Congrats on the win!!.... S****s
i sure hope us oltimers who been around since early days are saved a seat in the big house i wanna be minister of lasalle transmissions
Denise, you know you can't turn your back on Roadstar & BobK. While Matt may not have a computer at this time, anyone who is a friend of PeteJoe , builds a car like that, and has that good of an at***ude has to be a HAMBer. I'd be proud to say he's a HAMBer.
Big thanks to all the HAMBers there! You guys rocked the fairgrounds when we rolled thru!! Had a great time down there, even though I think it's a terrible idea that the bars don't close down till 4:00am! 100 degree weather and hangovers don't mix! Hell, I think a new love was born down there! (see above pic)
I was down there on Friday and met up with several folks for a bit. I got a ride in Nic32vics hot rod. We even went to Hooters in it. I am never going to go down there without a hotrod again! My feet were killing me.I thought I had an outside pic of it but I guess I didn't. Not too shabby for and 18 year old.
Finally rested up. I felt like I was in Jet lag. Kinda was. Got home in 5-1/2 hrs doing 80mph with no traffic most of the way home. The Roadster actually handles and feels better between 80-90 than it does between 60-70. Nic32Vics hot rod is great looking! Nic... you can be very proud of your work. How did you do with the 29 and under? Glad to meet even more hambers I've never met. Yes....Hambers are taking over the world. This weekend was just unbelievable! Got a call from Matt (the winner) last night. Her drove the car 400 miles all the way home with no problems what so ever. I was really impressed with how Downs put together and handled the giveaway car. First cl***! The car was actually a driver ready for the road. I was really proud of the Hamb representation at the Nationals this year!
So he did not have all of the troubles that you had last year with the motor leaking and all. Chris Nelson Kansas
No problems with this car. I talked to the owner of Downs Mfg this year at good guys and asked him to make sure the car was road ready and told him the story of the roadster last year. I couldn't even drive the roadster on Sunday to the show. He ***ured me the car will have some miles on it and they will go over the safety torques specifically. One of the Downs employees told me at the Nationals that the car was his responsibiity and he lived with the car for many months. He hated to give it up. First cl*** vendor in my book even if they do make gl*** bodies !
Airbag's?...........Cool for Matt and tell him to log in to the HAMB and say "Hi"........ Chris Nelson Kansas
Matt told me that he doesn't even have a computer, that's why he ain't on the board. Matt, you could log in on Pete Joe's. BB BTW Pete Joe,nice to have spent a few minutes to both to you and Matt.
No ****. I've talked to him at several shows this year. We BS'd at Norwalk's Blue Suede Cruise. He was rolling a cherry 55 chevy wagon there, and the green wagon. Then he was at another small show in Brimfield with the green wagon. Tell him congrats from grumpy and the rest of the Road Hounds.
