I bought a membership last year with my entry fee to the Tampa show. This years it's $60 for a membership renewal and entry fee for the show, or for current members its $30. *Prices if you mail it in before Friday the 23rd.

TECHNICALLY I'm a current member, not caring weather or not I renew my membership or not.

Can I PAY $30 and have no problems? If you don't mail it in before Friday the price goes up $10.

My membership ends 10/11 and the show is on 10/ 14-16. Thanks!

Why not call them? Please don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure your membership is valid thru the last day of the last month. If you got your membership in October of 2010 at the SE Nats, then it should be valid thru this year's show. Gary

Your card expires October, 2011, not October 11th. Gary

    NO ... not really.
You could just stay HOME and save the $$$.

Lots of folks are doing that ... to protest them letting in all the non HAMB friendly vehicles.

My NSRA number is 20XX and currently have no intention of ever going to another NSRA event.

Really? NSRA has always been non HAMB friendly! There are a lot of Hamb stuff at their shows but almost every other car is a Street Rod. I guess that is why they call it "NSRA", National Street Rod ......

Yes, you will skate by. Your membership expires at the end of the month not on the 11th. I just had the same deal at NSRA Nats North.

You'd think they'd learn something from the 'Goodguys'. I'm shocked they followed Meadors (sp.; who gives a shit) with his "let 'em all in, it's just more money!" agenda.

We don't just 'stay home'. We usually have a 'cruise' that runs right by their entrance gate. And we drive by...

Since NSRA imposed the 30 year rule, I haven't noticed much difference. I just do what I've always done, walk past cars I'm not interested in. I just came back from the Northeast Nationals in Burlington, Vt. It's the same show it's always been, it now has leadsleds and muscle cars. There was no onslaught of Fairmonts, Pacers and such. NSRA was going to cancel Burlington because of low participation, the 30 year rule saved it. And it's still one of my favorite shows. The same with Nats East in York, Pa. It's still a great show. They still give away $90,000 worth of goodies and three $3000 prizes on Sunday. And guess what, everyone still has the option of not going, I'll keep going. My big problem is, I like cars too much.

  17. The trouble with just walking past the cars you are not interested in is that its such a long walk.

I agree with Hotrodprimer and Deuce Roadster, I vote with my pocketbook when an organization changes the rules to my disatisfaction or prices itself out of my market. I do something else. That goes for NSRA and GOODGUYS. No Whine, just Fact. P.S.,,For you socalled PUREST there's not two hoots in hell difference between a Hot Rod and a Street Rod. There's good and bad in all catagories.......Have a nice day.

I have no problem with the NSRA even with the 30 year rule as I haven't seen much late model garbage showing up. The NSRA has $30 event registration fees and a $30 membership fee which is cheaper then any other organization and they give away over $90,000 in prizes at each event which no other organization comes close to matching. Besides if I don't want to look at something, I just walk past it.

The HAMB is not a Street Rod Forum.
