Rt 30 is always a mess. And it always rains. One year, I had MAC's ship down a stainless steel cowl band so I didn't have to pay oversized freight and have a 1/2" wide trim piece screwed up anyway. It was the first year the Toyota Pavilion was opened and, of course, MAC's was all the way at the back and ,of course, my car was parked outside the main far gate entrance and pretty far up the street, too and, of course, one gate of the track infield was temptingly unlocked, but not the other so I had to go back around.. Might I say that I got wet? Fortunately, my lovely wife had the sense to stay in the pavilion sipping hot soup, so she was still in a good mood. BTW, the cowl band's still not on the car. I can't wait for Saturday!
Rt 30 is repaved and perfect west of York. No construction around York. East of the river it is down to one lane on both sides. Not bad except for rush hour. See you at the camp site.
There is construction work in Lancaster County at the exit just before the bridge. That has cause major problems since the exit closed about a month ago. Supposed to remain closed for nearly 3 years. If you are traveling 30 West and want to avoid the area get off and take PA 462 West. It will take you in to York. Nice scenic road, less traveled than 30. If you use the Turnpike you can avoid it also.
