Event Coverage NSRA Quad City show

I see the other week that the NSRA is having an event in August 2024 in the Quad Cities. IA/ILL anyone planning on penning this show into there calendar?

I was at the MiniNats in Cedar Rapids, IA back in the 90s. Nice to see another national show other then the Good Guys come to Iowa.

 

...a bunch of my Tin Butcher club members and myself are planning on going,...haven't heard any real details yet other than it's a Fri& Sat show. ...lookin forward to this.... will post details as I get them.

 

Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds?

 

Depending on which weekend it is I would probably go.

 

I'm planning on going. I like that fairgrounds.

I hope they're successful. Probably been watching the numbers for Good Guys in Des Moines on 4th of July Weekend and are thinking they will have a moderately successful show?

 

I think it is finally an effort by nsra to revitalize their dieing program by adding some new geographic areas for a show, instead of the the same, static, 30 year old annual schedule.

 

So, what is their cutoff for years? Rolling 30?

30 years is how nsra rolls.

 

I was spectating at the Cedar Rapids NSRA show and ran into a friend who had his car there. I told him that I had just bought a '49 Chevy pickup project and he told me I should have kept looking and gotten a '48 so I would be accepted at NSRA events. The funny thing is, we were standing next to an AD truck with a curved windshield ('54 or early '55).

I went to the show as a spectator on Saturday. Great turnout for a 1st time show. I too was at the last NSRA Cedar Rapids show in 1994. Great to see the NSRA back in Iowa.
