My sons and I went out to Tampa yesterday. Attendance seemed to be a little better than last year, but the vendor booths attendance inside the main hall still seemed down. If I had to describe the event in one word, I'd have to say HOT! The heat was absolutely brutal. I have never walked by so many people with soaking wet shirts at a car show. I never did hear what the temperature was, but it had to be in the 90's. Way too hot for October, even for Florida. Anyway, here's the pictures. Not a lot of HAMB friendly pics, but here's a few that caught my eye. Sorry the first couple are foggy. I think my camera lense had condensation on it. Probably from the temp and humidity change from my vehicle.
I know this isn't the most HAMB friendly car, but hey, how often do you get to see an Austin A-30. I was very nicely done. The 32 5W wasn't too bad either. I would have stayed a little longer, but these 2 knuckle heads kept begging me to go, because of the heat. I guess they don't quite share the same "enthusiasm" for cars as their dad.
You did an awesome job on that pickup. I was trying to figure out what the cab was. I knew it wasn't Chevy or Ford. I was going to start searching for some other body styles to figure out what it was. It made a nice choice. Flows really well with the Stude grille. Great job, great proportions.
I thought I was gonna drop dead from the heat and I've been in Florida since 1981, it was brutal. That little Austin A35 was rad, I can only imagine how sickeningly fast and ill tempered it must be.
