I have a 2000 watt Buffalo tools sportsman generator, the engine runs fine but there is no output ac or dc. I have checked all wire connections and circut breakers, the generator part is spinning, this is a brushless generator so that's not the problem. Any ideas? this is not very old, it was a customer return that the company I work for wrote off so I took it home. It would be nice to have around as we have already lost power for a total of 3 days this winter!

might be the solid state circuitry..there is also a thing called a "exciter"( i think) in the field side of the generator end that may have failed..really what you will have to do if you dont have the testing equipment or knowledge of these systems, you will have to take it to a qualified repair person to have it serviced

has it been polarized, im not sure how to do it, or if you can on yours.......but i've heard it can be an issue with unused/new generators or alternators......just a guess
