was having a "disscusion"with my lovely wife this morning, about who, what, where, and when we were, seeing for the holidays and i was wondering,is it just me and my wife or is the christmas holidays getting to be more hecktic than i remember?i mean jesus,we have'nt stopped moving for over a month now,and between her family and mine it's non stop.can't be the only one who can't wait for this to be over am i?besides,i haven't been in the garage to work on anything but christmas lights....maybe im just jonesin'....come on new year! hope you all have a safe and RELAXING holiday...im out..quickrod
I second that. Can we just skip the holidays in 2004? I havent been in the garage for 2 weeks. Instead the family is out spending money that we dont have in the first place on junk that nobody needs to begin with.... IS IT OVER YET????
i believe that there are very good reasons to celebrate CHRISTmas. none of which include shopping malls and decorated trees. if hubbub and obligations overshadow love, joy, contentment, and happiness, then it's time to rethink what you're going to do for CHRISTmas next year before it gets here.
atch, trust me,i know what the real "reason for the season" is supposed to be about, but lets face it,it kinda gets lost in all this hoopla.but for what it's worth,i LOVE my wife and kid, find JOY in being with them, and am CONTENT with how my life is.how ever,i am HAPPIER in the garage than in a mall or a traffic jam trying to get to the mall to celebrate todays CHRISTmas as you say.believe me,i know it's sad,but it's true.
Move to the other side of the country. This way you can claim that you can't afford to get to the relatives & the Holiday hecticness is magically fixed Worked for me. Rochester, NY to Seattle, WA. Seriously though quickrod, I know what you're talking about. I've gone to five Christmas/Hannukah parties in the past week and one half. Nuts...but ya' gotta' make the most of it.
