Had a call from a friend of mine, she's working on a movie here in the Bay Area. They need some early 50's cars, mostly a NICE black 1954/55 car for the lead mobster guy. They can pay like $75 or so a day for rental. IF YOU CAN HELP....Please e-mail Sandi direct..... clammm@aol.com Thanks Dave
[ QUOTE ] I second that emotion......... [/ QUOTE ] Any way to contact him? Or get him to E-Mail her... Thanks guys
I thought of you George, I am gonna go see her later, will get the full story & let you know what the score is.... Nice picture b.t.w.
$75/day is all?? It's not worth it. I would bet Tom Sparks (in the valley, near Barris') charges a hell of a lot more than that per day to rent his cars. ****, I won't do focus groups that are less than $75 for 2 hours. Letting someone drive my car and bang cameras into it for a full day... no thanks.

[/ QUOTE ] if its a big production there is a budget, she is ripping off the car owner. a rental car is $75.. if its a small independant film, she should probably think about getting creative with the script or pay out some real cash.
yeah... I would never go out of my way to help a friend or fellow Hamber unless I was getting all kinds of money for it.... ***s. HC
helping out a hamb'r? ive dont plenty of that... PLENTY you have no idea how these ****ing retards work.... SCHEMING PRODUCERS can smoke my ***got POLE... if a person wants to make a ****in movie, then throw down... this **** aint CHEAP jaded? **** yes... producers are a bunch of **** TALKERS. they have their heads so far up the political drama *** at studios it will make a REAL *** puke..
My convertible WAS on a photo shoot to help a friend. For FREE. Didn't stop it from getting ****ed up.
Well, it sounds like you guys have had bad experiences with similar situations.... So if you were burned in the past, I can understand your hesitation.... One of my friends needed an old car for a short film that he was working on at a movie studio here in Dallas a while back... I let him use it for free and I was glad to do it as a favor to him. I had the studio sign a release form saying that they were liable for damages and everthing went smooth... Best part is that I got to take some insane shots of my ride in a giant studio lightbox..... I can imagine that the movie ****s in Cali are a little different that film folks in Texas...... HC
