Tomorrow is the first day of school for many. Frances starts kindergarten. I'm so proud of her. I'm taking a late day into work so I can take her to school. We're gonna roll the Caddy, that apparently doesn't belong on the HAMB (BTW, it's for sale). She's pretty excited to meet new friends, her teacher, and learn new stuff. In her summer workbook, she had a picture of a '33-'34 Ford sedan to color. She thinks it's jive cuz the tires don't hang out (she likes real rods w/out fenders!) and it sits too high. I've taught her enough but she needs to know more. So proud, indeed.
Enjoy the moment, my little girls are approaching mid life and I don't know where the time went. Good for you.
She has already steered the Caddy and the station wagon in the driveway. I think a go-cart hot rod may be needed in the next couple years. Man, I really don't wanna think about teenage years. Guess I better start a gun collection.
Like hotrod1940 said "Enjoy the moment". My "baby" is starting high school tomorrow, but it seems like it was yesterday we were walking her to kindergarten. It goes so fast !!!!
their right, mine started 2 weeks ago 11, and 12 and yeah, it seems like yesterday they were going on the first day. man they were my best Friends back then, now they both (girls) are busy doing girl crap. Enjoy it while you can, these are the years
Just try to make sure 'girl crap' somehow includes you. I take my girls all over in the Caddy (even though it's not cool enough). Sat, we hit a car show and later a car cruise. They know that Caddy time is family time.
The World's Most Beautiful Granddaughter started Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago. Is a little upset that they haven't studied any science yet. Enjoy it all, it goes faster than you might think.
Parents involved in their childrens education is a major factor in their kid's success at school. Keep being involved!!
Yeah, they are just at that "Dad ain't cool no more stage" which sucks cause I'm the coolest person I know lol I know they'll come around, just flexin their little independent, boy crazy, fashion diva, punk rock muscles right now. They know I'm always there when they need me I agree with Randy, don't miss any school functions, and help with that homework
Good on you. Be involved, stay involved. Mine are 17 & 19 and although the ol' fella ain't always cool, they still talk to me for advice and general stuff. But man they grow up quick!!
Well, she's there. You woulda thought I was the one being left. I'm a big pansy (not really, I'm 5'10" and 150lbs) when it comes to that stuff. She was so excited. Can't wait to hear about her day tonight.
Wow! Haven't been on here in a while. I laid down my Harley at Sturgis and been kn a hospital. The love you have for your daughter goes very deep. In fact, in goes to your very soul. This love ,together with your wisdom is the basics you will need to achieve greatness for your daughter. Enjoy being a parent!! Love you brother- Mikey Daniels Crockett,Texas
Enjoy the time. They grow up fast. I clearly remember my daughters first day of school. She is now the mother of 3 wonderful grankids, the oldest of which just turned 13. Did I mention they grow up fast? Frank
