A lady & at the car wash (total stranger) asks me if I know of anyone interested in a 2 dr.coupe deville cadillac, she convinces me to at least take a look at (I swear I cannot just say no to older cars!)

I had 69 and really enjoyed it, kind of miss it a little.

So I go look, she has all the papers, title, owners manual ect.she says she wants 1500 bucks for it, hasnt run for a couple years, but swears it ran and ran pretty good? well its pretty straight, but needs work inside & out and I tell her theres no way I am in at 1500 and quite honestly I really shouldnt even be looking at it as I have no business buying it right now, she says well I wont take anything less then 1200, I say well sorry but theres no way I am in at that price.

So I say thanks and start walking to my truck and she says, well what will you give me for it? I said, maam, I do not want to say as you may take it as an insult, as I explained it does need quite a bit of work, window on drivers side has been down for a while, interior/dash are rough, needs rust repair below rear window, which I have been told they notoriously rust there, other then that pretty solid and straight & stock and everything is there, all the trim, right down to all 4 stock hubcaps and one extra she'll throw in :)!

So anyways I wouldnt say any price, she goes well, will you give me 500!? ...... quite honestly I think if I went back there with 200 dollars I am afraid I'd be calling AAA for the flat bed!

when do you just say NO!?

Screw it... for $200 you could strip it and crush it if you wanted and still come out ahead.

I guess it's a good thing I'm notoriously broke all of the time right now. Otherwise I'd be gathering projects right and left for the future builds I'm going to do when I have a backyard shop of my own.
