dogs have personality and even though you have the shittiest day in your life they always smile *sorta' haha* and wag their tails as soon as you come through the door. hell they'll bark before you even come in if they see you in the window. and if you dont see them for awhile, a year even, they'll still bark and make you play with them. i was moving stuff to the place i used to stay at today, and when we came in they were happy to see me and i played them for a good 20 mins, dogs are the best pets.
    sorry for your loss.
its hard to lose pets when they were your family for so long.

I have lost two long time pets in the last eight months, one by natural causes and the other had to be put down due to Cancer. I decided that my Daughter needed her first puppy and got her a Bassett Hound for Christmas, Daisy is our new best friend.

Thanks for all the kind words. Today was a little bit better. I went to work and it helped keep my mind busy. I actually tried to stay away form the house yesterday but that didn't work too well. I thought about her ALL DAY LONG. There's nothing quite as embarassing as answering your cell phone and the person on the other end can tell that you've been crying. There goes that manly image!

Aside from trying not to step on a non-existent dog that wasn't sleeping on the floor next to me this morning, and looking for her when I walked through the door about 30 minutes ago, it hasn't been quite as bad today.

Thanks for all the support and personal experiences. It helps. It really does. I'm going to let this post die on my end but anyone that wants to keep posting be assured, I'll read it and it will help some more.

    Thanks,
    Mark

  7. I know exactly how you feel bro. My Big cat went on to grenner pastures last week.
She had something happen with her lungs and couldn't fight it off. Too old I guess, I buried her with her favorite T shirt @ 4:00 in the morning in the rain.

Anyway I feel for ya bro.
