Since were on the subject of old school skatin and videos... does anyone have a copy of "Ban This" from Powell Peralta?

I flippin gave mine away like 5 years ago and now I'm regreting it. It had all the greats in it.

Starts off with Frankie Hill tearing it up and ends with Tony Hawk busting out the first 540 ollie ever done. The first video featuring Guy Mariano, Gabriel Rodriguez, Rudy Johnson, and Paulo Diaz.

Plus you get to see Hawk, Saiz, Barbee, McGil, Underhill, Caballero, Lasek, Guerrero, Hill, Mountain, Saito and tons more

Remember Ray Barbee, that kick *** black dude with the trademark yellow baseball hat?!

Great flick, but I have always been a Powell fan, and when Frankie Hill, and Ray Barbie busted out out it blew me away. Ray Barbie is still going stong with Lance Mountain and their team. The movie that really blew me away for street was Hokus Pokus by H-street. Matt Hensley ruled.

Johnny Ace, your bringing back some memories for me. I ****ed too much too ever skate the clown ramp. We use to hit some clubs then stop by there at about 1:00 AM and Johnson and Phillips would both be out there drunk off their ***es just shredding the hell out of that ramp. They could barely walk but somehow managed to skate.

this is an interview from NPR about that gator movie if ya wanna listen. ken park and Helen Stickler where interviewed on fresh air. fresh air do a guest search for ken park from t he archived shows section. the links are screwed up so i couldn't link directly to the interview. i really wanted to see that movie. i remember gator, but i was only 9 or 10 when this happened, i think.

 

Ken Park, yeah thats a oldy. That was my very 1st board, a Madrid Ken Park, with all the dressings. I remember scratching it for the 1st time, I about cried. I had it all Tracker flapper, bones rails, and mini rails, Skid Plate, and nose guard. Wish I still had, But it got stolen on the 2nd attempt from my locker. The 1st time it was stolen, the ****er tried to sell it to Hot Skates on Colorado blvd. in Glendale, lucky for me the owner remembered selling it to me and yanked it back.
