Hey, not all LT's are bad! Stay safe, stay positive, and make every opportunity a learning experience. Even for an "old" E-4. Reminds me of an ancient Corporal instructor I had at TAAS in KY.
Be safe man. Ever look at those hummers and wonder what they'd look like with a set of Moon Disks and a "Blitz Black" paint job? The Xmas pic kinda got to me. I'd like to say I miss those "pressed turkey loaf, condensed milk and mashed potato flake" holiday meals... I'd really like to say that, but... The rifle shrine put it back in perspective too... Hope those *******s appreciate what you guys have done for them when it's all over, but I doubt it. They never do. Anyway, we think you done good.
Zeke,,,great to hear you are OK,,,Thanks to you and men and women like you us ol' vets can sleep well at night! HRP
Zeke, who owns the double wide cot? Keep up the good work, stay professional. See ya when ya get here. Master Chief, United States Navy, Retired
Yeah **** the media........ its guys like you & those before us that make it possible to live how we do, watch your back & come home safe. I don't think there's a day gone by that i've not thought about the guys/gals out there. My son is 18 & about to enter a life with the air force........to say i'm proud of him is an understatement! Kev.
Hello....from one vet to another, keep your head down, your *** lower. and your eyes and ears open.......Semper Fi.....take care of yourself and hope to see you home safe and sound.......stan
Thanks to you and all your buddies!! Stay safe. Wish I was a writer so that I could make that sound good. Bill
Thanks for everything you're doing Zeke!! let us know when you become sargent.... to everyone else that has served, i'd like to give a BIG thanks to you, im so proud-Seann
Zeke, while some of us may not support the war, NOBODY wants you guys coming home in boxes! some of us who lean more towards the "L" than the "C" may not love our commander in chief, but we have nothing but respect for the TROOPS. i have a million times more respect for you joining up and shipping out knowing full well what you were getting into, than i do for the millions of chickenhawks whose "support" is little more than a faded yellow ribbon on the back of their SUV. stay safe man.
Zeke,,,,I don't know if I ever thanked you for all the time and trouble you went thru collecting the recipes for the cookbook,,,,,,we use it a lot and have tried a lot of them,,,well,,,, we did skip a few! ,,,HRP
Stay safe and sound. Keep your powder dry and your head down. As the saying goes "If you are reading this in English you can thank a vet." Take care.
I just want to thank you and your fellow troops for all that you're doing for our country as well as Iraq. Stay safe and stay positive. Wish you the best.
Thanks folks. Don't forget about the other HAMBers that have served or are doing so now. I ain't the only one. The doublewide is mine thanks to a nice thick mattress pad. That would be me working on our 300lb gingerbread house at Xmas that me and a pal made. I tried photoshopping a hummer, but they look much cooler as is. The rhynos look bad *** in flat black though. Ray feel free to disagree all ya want, I got ya covered. Zeke
Zeke I'm new to the HAMB however I spent my time in the same **** hole you are in for a year. I saw the hogey cabs while I was over there. I flipped out over all the 64 65 66 model chevy trucks they must still be popping them things out over there. While I was in Kuwait I saw a huge junk yard full of american rides ie. vettes camaros and impala SS. Would you believe i saw a 70 cuda body being taken in there i swear it was a cuda or i was trippin on the camel bacon I had for breakfast that morning. Maybe that and the mixture of that sweet arroma of the honey dipper truck visiting us that morning. keep it real and keep it safe. DefianceB
Zeke, I don't know how I missed this thread, DefianceB thanks for bringing it back to the front page. Zeke, take care, and thank you and all your buddies that are over there. Be safe, Thanks.
As a former officer and enlisted man, I have spent my service time in a couple of wars, and yet never been involved in actual combat. I was a Viet Nam era vet, but never made it there and was discharged right at the time of the first Gulf War. I had planned on transferring from the Navy into the Army at the time, but a high frequency hearing loss was not waived and the best laid plans of mice and men......I guess I am exceedingly lucky or fortunate in not getting put in harm's way. I'd love to have gone into combat, but dumb luck or just the grace of God kept me in other parts of the world doing my active duty service at the time. I was in the Air Force and the Navy, so I did get to see how different the various services were in their missions. Any rate, I fully support you guys and gals. No matter what someone else feels about r or c, politics or the President, I believe you folks have taken on the task of achieving the highest honor in serving your country and I pray for your safety in doing so. It is sometimes hard to figure out what freedom of speech and such is doing in America these days, but your service directly allows each of us to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. Please share a special kudo with the troops and let them know our hopes and prayers are right there with you on the line, and that we pray you all return safe. God Bless America and the troops who protect our rights, our freedoms and our well-being to live in the american way and american dream. Hopefully you guys can get the media to begin to show more of the positive things that are happening in Iraq. I'll bet much more positives are happening there daily than what is actaully shown on the network news nightly. Be safe and return safe, Huey
Please accept my personal thanks to all of you over there. You guys and gals are doing a great job, I dont care what the media says. All of you be safe.
Zeke, Good to hear from you and know you're still with us. There are a good many people here who pray for you daily so know that you have the overwhelming support of the american people. there are some who don't get it
