Planning on moving to the beach this coming Semester,
And I've been considering getting a bicycle...?
But I want something COOL,
And I've been considering making one-

But I could use some idea's,
So if anybody has pics of customized, or home made bicycles,
Please post 'em!
Anything at all!
I just want something that doesn't cost $$$ to ride,
And still actaully has some STYLE!

(if you've got a better suggestion,
I'd LOVE to hear it!)

There were a few posts a while back on this...just search for custom bicyle. My example isn't the most comfortable to ride, but its fun.
And I'm working on another one as of last week...stay tuned.

All I could find was stuff on LOWRIDER bikes-
That's not what I'm talking about...
Kustoms&Rockets homemade frame (that type of thing)
is what I'm talking about,
Not lowriders

And Kustoms&Rockets-
Is this your design?

These have been running around Minneapolis for a lot of years. I don't claim to get the why but it is unique. [IMG]

Yeah, that was original plan for my bike. It gravitated a little bit from that, but is still close.

i saw some fool riding one of those tall bikes in traffic in Chicago the other day. he was so tall that i almost didn't see him, and I (unlike most drivers here) pay attention to cyclists. He was wearing a helmet, so maybe he didn't really have a death wish...

Tall bikes are stupid and dangerous, that's why I like them. The one I have is a lot crazier looking (tractor steering wheel, 8" front wheel), but the height makes it like a starter tall bike compared to the one you just posted. Don't have any pics of it right now.

Before I started building gas-powered Schwinns, my buddy and I built these contraptions back in the 80s...just ten speed forks with the big wheel on Schwinn Stingrays!

InPrimer posted the bike that I built last year. (Thanks IP!) It's a blast to ride and it actually goes pretty fast thanks to the 7-speed hub. Check out the article that I wrote on it for Bike Rod & Kustom: http://bikerodnkustom3.homestead.com/youens.html email me if you need some more information. Building your own is the way to go whether it's a bike, motorsikle, or hot rod. Go for it!

Yep, a tractor seat, it now has a 26" wheel on the front which looks much better.
