Like you said she is a 1%er :~) Tell momma and little one we are praying for them, you also cause looks like they will need ya to pull some extra weight for a while... maybe some local HAMBers can help ya out.. Good Luck and keep us posted

as the father of 2 kids i understand everything you said perfectly. my first was a boy, hes easy. last kid was a little girl. symptom free pregnancy and induced labor. longest couple of days in my life i tell ya. finall she was born and we were whisked away for her to be weighed, cleaned, all that jazz. i stood there looking down on her and honestly my house coulda burned down with my cars and everything in it and i wouldnt have flinched best wishes to you and yours! ill tell ya though, by the end of the hospital stay i was ready to strangle someone. those nurses coming in every 5 minutes drove me up a wall sideways
Hey Salt, just wanted to send my congrats to you! best wishes to you and yours! not to hijack, but we had our baby boy last friday, 36 weeks... my wife woke up with a bad headache on Friday, and went downhill really fast, blood pressure spiked, and she couldn’t move at all… , we got to the ER, and they put the baby on machines and ordered a BPP biophysical profile, and he scored 2 out of 10. Not good. That is when they started running around and getting ready to do surgery. They thought she had meningitis, (she did) but couldn’t be treated aggressively because of pregnancy, and her blood pressure and temp went way up. That is when baby boy’s heart went tachycardic and up over 200bpm. When they went in for emergency C-section they found his cord twice around his neck and a true knot in the cord…very scary <o> </o> We were very close to losing him. The doctors and nurses really did an awesome job. point of the story...the cosmos is perfect. Enjoy your little one!
Our prayers are with you all during the most wonderful times. I went through it too. I know about the great doctors and new medicine. Hang in there. You have so many praying for you and your little ones. God Bless the Doctors and your family!!!!!
congratulations on the new addition salty!!!! i will be praying for your family and may god bless you and your family!!!!
Congrats on the new little one ! Prayers & well-wishes goin' out to all . NICU docs kick ass ... she'll be fine . Our little girl (our first) turned 2 years-old a few days ago - it's exciting , to say the least !
Congrats on the little one well wishes and prayers sent for for your whole family.Having kids makes being in the world make sense welcome to the eyes wide open part of life enjoy the ride . Take care, Rob.
Havent hadda chance to upload pics....in between of you all miscreants (Inna good way) and all of our friends and family musta done a heckofa lotta good....cause she is doing FLIPPEN AWESOME. She's maintaining her independent breathing with only a nasal canula to prompt her to continue breathing...Momma got to hold her quite a bit today as they unhooked the C-PAP machine at 6 this morning. All the docs and nurses said that she is the best "30 weeker" that they've seen in a long time....She's kinda become the NICU mascot as when she gets pissed at the nurses she turns the brightest shade of red you've ever seen....not just her face, her whole body....it's quite funny to watch. She took her first bath today and we found that her hair is actually redish blonde.... We're in for it. She's beutiful... Thanks for the prayers and well wishes...they are well used and will continue to be used.
First of all... CONGRATS!! You are now on your way to sleepless nights, but untold joys... My little bro' had a preemie girl about the same "age" as yours. You'll soon find out about the difference between "actual" birth date, and "percepted" birth date, as well as having a local respiratory care provider on speed dial, you will be fine with the experience. It IS an adventure, but I can tell you as the proud uncle of a VERY preemie niece, that it does all work out. She's now almost 5, won't wear shoes (even on gravel--ouch) and is into everything--including dad's projects in the garage. As an extra added bonus (wow, it's like I'm selling Ginzu knives...), the only reason she arrived early is that she wanted to get out there and help YOU on your next project! Bro', from my experience, there's a bit more work and things to watch out for, but you, and the rest of the family will be just great... God Bless ya' and yours...
My little niece just just had twin girls on 4/25. They are beautiful. A couple of days ago I snapped this pic with the baby's great grandma holding one of them. What a beautiful sight this was.
Welp It's been 25 days scince Baby Emma was born....she's been doin stellar until today...eating like a champ and all the other things babies do with all the tubes and cords disconnected....today was a bit differnent and she just didnt seem like herself. A couple of hours later she was transported to the high risk side of the NICU and hooked back up to all of her tubes and put back on IV fluids and food due to issues with her GI tract (bleeding). Very common for preemies but still very serious....I hate seeing my little girl in pain and it's about killin me and her mom.... I'ma basket case and yet again I plead for the HAMB's help on baby Emma's behalf....
Thoughts and prayers from Montana. I was a 27 week preemie, got down to 2lbs and that was back in 1966 (damn I'm old!). I turned out just fine, no breathing problems or health issues, I gained a ton of weight and had to be put on a diet at 6 months. (My German grandmother had been feeding me whole cream every chance she got, she prescribed to the "fat baby healthy baby" line of thinking. I believe Emma will be showing daddy whose boss in no time. Take care.
I sure hope so cause she's straight got me freaked out right now.... Necrotizing enterocolitis is what she has....9 hours scince the antibiotics started....wait and see game now...
Thoughts and prayers are going out to you! Keep the Faith! I got it tatted on my back to remind me. I will look at it tonight before bed and think of you...
Hang in here man, you've got a family depending on you! I've got 5 kids, and 9 grandkids, guess I'm lucky that we've had no health issues with any of them so far. Doesn't stop you from worrying over them though... Our prayers are with you and yours, keep the faith. Cheers, Glen.
Prayers to you and yours. My son was 6 pounds when born eight months ago He is now 22 pounds. Keep the faith and all will come to the good for everyone involved.
Prayers for Emma's recovery and continued growth and peace/comfort for you and your wife....... from the dad of a 6yr old Emma
Thank you... As of now she has stopped slipping away and is maintaining her sick puppyness, she is stable.......which is more than can be said for earlier in the day.... Long story short, she now is on a machine that breaths for her as she is too sick and tired to do it herself, there's tubes everywhere and she is sedated so she can relax and heal. Antibiotics were upped and xrays continue....sofar nothing has gotten worse in her gut, but it hasnt gotten better either. I got the night shift tonight and am standing watch I'm not going anywhere anytime soon Emma.....
