Well apperently the record companies dont like internet radio. My local radio station KDHX St. louis has a petition against the greedy record companies. My local radio station needs support. The petition is here http://www.kdhx.org/ sorry if i`m soliciting but i love the greaser`s luch box on thursdays with Al swacker. and when i miss a show i listen to it online. If interested in listening to the greaser`s lunchbox heres a link to the archives http://www.kdhx.org/programs/greaserslunchbox.htm It`s an awsome show and I would hate to see it go bye bye. It kinda gets you away from mainstream media for a few hours. Thanks
I listen to internet radio all day in my shop. Evidently, they want to make royalties and fees so high, most internet stations will disappear. Unless ya want to hear whatever crap the record companies want you to hear, you should sign the petition. Otherwise, listen to all the mainstream shit. I got to have my Rockabilly Radio! Mike
I love this station I enjoy bloodying up my knuckles with my wrenches at work while blasting rockabilly! Customers come in and look at me wierd but who gives a crap. This is an independent and community radio station. Anybody know of any good ones i could listen to on the net? I cant stand the new emo rock on the mainstream stations, and if i hear nirvana 1 more time i`m gonna dig up curt cobane and knock the crap outta him.
Rockabilly Radio is the shit. I found a couple more by digging around with my WinAmp player. There was one called Tokyo Ninja Radio that is occasionally good ( for some reason, though, they seem to think that The Pogues singing Irish songs is a form of rockabilly???). LOL There is another called Bazooka radio that plays a lot of r-a-b and punk. XM radio has an awesome rockabilly program where they play all sorts of obscure 50's stuff. I think it's on Thursday afternoon for a couple of hours. There are also a few good stations on Live365 radio. I've bought a lot of music as a result of hearing stuff on the internet. I truly hope they lose this deal and leave internet radio alone. They can take Brittany and 50cent and all that other no-talent shit and stick it up their ass. I refuse to listen to that garbage. Mike
Check out www.slacker.com They are a new streaming music site. Type in what you like and they will play that genre. Apparently they are coming out with a satellite reciever with NO monthly fees. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.. Todd
