Yep. Made this for Frankie today. Fits her pretty good. She's been telling me she wants one like daddy's so...her it is...and mine, too. One more piece to weld in (ran out of gas) and a chain and she'll be chopper queen of the neighborhood.
A pink chopper and a chrome rear fender. Cool ride! Watch out for the jealous five-year-old girls in the neighborhood!
She wants to paint it rainbow sparkle. I think we'll hook it up with some Rothrageous Red flake over a bright silver metallic base. That oughta be 'rainbowie' enough. I'm pretty excited that she likes it.
Now you've done it. Be prepared, because for her 16th birthday there better be a new Vette parked in the driveway. That's OK, daddy's are supposed to spoil their daughters. Frank
too cute of a little girl to bust her ass on a stretched bicycle. hope she has a bike she can actually ride too!
Good eye!! They came off my granpa's mid 60's Schwinn. Frank....hot rod spoken here. No vettes. Unless it's a gasser!
Nice bike Pete, I built my little girl a LowRider last year and all the boys now come over to see the bike
Seeing that image of your daughter astride her nearly completed chopper brought a broader smile to my face than I have had for weeks. There is nothing like the pleasure of bringing joy to a child. You, sir, are a good daddy.
I also started to stretch a chainguard that came on one of the parts bikes. It'll be safe....I hope. Thanks. I've gat a few hours left on it but I'm pleased with the overall look.
That's easy for you to say NOW but wait until her mind gets polluted by all of those tostestrone packed guys in high school that think a Vette is about as cool you can get. By then she just might think that the "old man" doesn't know where it's at and want to be part of the "in crowd" If you ever have any doubts about raising her just send her north to our place and I'll have her driving a blown BBC '32 Ford for drivers training.
