So what do you guys think of this.I saw this on the canadian rodder forum.Looks like its pretty nice.Supposed to be steep in price though.Their website is www.vennom.com .......Shiny
There's not enough Nova's in the world??? It will be good for the racers I guess. By the time you add all the bracing for a glass body, are they really any lighter than a metal body? (across the board on all the glass bodies available)
Those guys are just up the road from here. Nice bodies and like aything else, if 'glass vs. steel doesn't matter, would provide a huge head start for a guy not wanting to spend years doing body work. Me, I'd rather do the bodywork.... JH
Django,I guees we'll just call em "chevy me II" just like I call deuces "me too 32"........ Harrison,I'd rather weld, grind smash and slap some bondo on it too........Shiny
They do show original thinking. Like using a different windshield so they can offer you a chop. I'd like to see one of Alston's 3/4 scale '55 Chevies on the street. But the issue of windshield glass is a big one.
that place in Fla is called US BODY SOURCE-Has anyone used therr [parts or bodies] -thay make a omplete 51 chevy picku and also a 40 ford pickup and what I was eyeing was a 63 stingray SPLIT /W coupe [with doors] for 3800 dollars.......
There is a guy selling Cheetah body's in Glendale. Fiberglass is correct for those, the originals were glass too ( exept the prototype ) And if I could find a Lotus 40 Body, I'd build it... ( so much better looking than a GT40 )
You can get a '55 Chevy in glass and the '55-57 Thunderbird. I always thought a glass car would make a great winter car - no rust. You would probably get double-takes driving a '55 Chevy in 2 feet of snow with wide-white snow tires.
I heard from someone (and I can't place who it was, maybe I was dreaming) that a steel 55 chevy might be in the works...that would make sense for a the first 50's car in steel new if it does happen.

[/ QUOTE ] Would it be "correct" though? Don't alot of guys complain that the Deuce steel bodies may be nice and look good, but you can't interchange panels with OEM bodies?
I'm sure I saw f/b bodies for mustangs in one of the muzzy mags.....more a retromod-type of thing though.....i.e. UGLY!!!!
I would.... for a driver type car-[The affordable type sting ray -Man........] one I can own and still keep my house......

The earlyish Vette sounds a good idea, I always wondered about a 59-62 replica.....still wanna see my mates one thie the Hemi sitting in the engine bay (was for ease of shipping only...) to actually keep the Hemi in there, would piss off all the restore type something rotten
[ QUOTE ] Someone does 67-72 Chev pickups also. Whats next?.....OLDBEET [/ QUOTE ] Vennom is getting ready to repop 70 Mustang Sportroofs in 'glass.
